I still don't get this arguement.

I mean both will be the same size on fight night, something Roach, Beristein, Marquez, Manny, Arum etc all agree on. Now if Manny was some demosterous WW that came in at 155-160 on fight night.....but the truth is they will be closer in size for their Nov. showdown, than they were in the second fight.

I was one of those people who was very vocal on boycotting Mosley-Pacquiao but I believe this one will be for the boxing fans.

Ive underestimated Marquez several times already and I will never, ever underestimate him again. And BTW, Im a Pac fan

it does matter,just because they will be around the same weight come fight night,doesn't mean they both will perform the same,,,manny is used to fighting at this weight,his body was able to adjust,jmm didn't look good above 140,yeah a lot had to do with floyd,but he still looked bloated,he looked slower,even if they weigh the same,manny keeps looking fast,marquez will look slower,so it does make a difference...i still think marquez is no more than a lightweight,if a rematch had to happen it should have been right away,manny back then was offered 6 million which was the most he would have made at the moment,there really wasn't an excuse to not take the fight,he just said at the end "this business is over"...heck being in a tough fight like that and barely winning,i don't blame him for saying that

Does anyone know how many pounds Pac weighed on fight night?

147-148 and on fight night Marquez has been 145lbs or so in his last few fights.

I just don't get how Manny can give up 15-20lbs against guys like Clottey, Margarito and Cotto, yet Marquez giving up 3lbs is such a big deal, especially when Marquez gave up 4lbs when he supposedly beat Manny in the second fight.

A 145lb Marquez on fight night is the same Marquez that destroyed Katsidis, Diaz and others, basically just the current version of Marquez that is suppose to be a nightmare (stylistically) for Pacquiao.

BTW did you stop and think that Marquez lighting and tried to add muscle because he knew Floyd would be alot bigger than him. Both him and Beristein know him and Manny are the same size, so I doubt very seriously that they would try to bulk up in this fight. That added muscle is what slowed Marquez down....and it make no sense to do that when their opponent is the same size as him

Jesus wwe all know that's not gonna happen. Pac has all the leverage and for the 1000th time if Marquez and his team isn't ****** they should not try to bulk marquez up like they did when he fought floyd. Come at your best weight at the weigh in and weigh 144-145 ( his normal weight during fight night )

They should learn from Pac. Since Pac's been at WW he hasn't really tried to make that weight he just comes in at his best weight to not slow himself down. The Margarito fight was the best example.

Besides they're still the same size. i bet they're just gonna be separated by no more than 5 pounds during the fight.

stop getting so bent out of shape when it involves Pacquiao it's not a good look

but I think we ALL know this fight shouldn't be at anything above 140 we ALL realized how crappy JMM looked fighting above 140 and I think we ALL would like to see an actual fight rather than a sacrifice (except for maybe you and those solely Manny fans)

Unfortunately, Marquez has done squat at 147 (and 140) and thus there is no need to pretend what you saw at 130 will resurface again. Need I remind you that Marquez' legs are damn near gone. Any astute poster (Shadows, jro, Silencers?) probably has already noticed that. He still has good hand speed and an amazing offensive arsenal but he must stand right in front of you to do it. And due to his slower reflexes, he gets hit a lot more (see Katsidis bout--a guy who couldn't hold Marquez' jockstrap in his prime). So Manny gets another opponent who will stand right in front of him. At welter, a weight where Marquez looked like the blob. Joy.

BTW, always take a look at your avi whenever you hear some buffoon talk about fight night weight.
