People says that he hasn't fought anyone on the same level as Cotto, and I agree, but who is there out there on the level of Cotto right now? Bradly?! Khan?! Ortiz?!

Or should he perhaps go up and face Martinez or Williams? Perhaps go all the way and face Hopkins?!

If Manny wants to show his true greatness, he should be fighting the guys that will confirm his greatness if he wins like Martinez. He should be fighting young guys in their prime like Ortiz and Bradley. He may be fighting Marquez next but he's fighting Marquez at a most disadvantaged weight. Why fight Marquez at 145-147 when Manny could easily make 140?

Boxing fans want to see Floyd but unfortunately Floyd can not grow a pair.
And then the proposed idea of Marquez at 145 looks like another Mayweathersque move.

As a boxing fan I would love too see him against Ortiz or Bradley or Khan. These are the fights that people would love to see.

Pacquiao and Arum deserved the criticism.
I agree with the top post absolute. Who else can he fight. Floyd, he's trying...Martinez, too big for pac?
It would be a 1 sided beat down if it were Bradley and Ortiz was a bum up until he beat another bum and paper champ the other week so Ortiz is new to the table. If Pac had fought Bradley or Ortiz and smashed them in stead of Mosley we'd have the exact same thread as this anyway. Boxing fans a so fickle sometimes.

Bradley, Ortiz, Alexander, Judah.. all get slaughtered by Pac.. Any true fan of boxing knows this.. The only fighter that has a good chance of beating Pac is Floyd ScaredWeather and this is by out boxing Pac... Marquez has no chance of beating Pac especially at 145-147... Be real with yourselves.

Floyd dont want to fight Manny thats why we fans are being feed these pointless fights in hopes to see Manny slaughter his opponents rather then the opponent trying to just survive..

Atleast Marquez will come to fight compared to Shane..

It should be fought in the ring.

          Bradley or Ortiz.

Marquez fight is crap, no one is going to give Pacquiao credit for that - see Morales 3.

People want to see with a possible threat and right now that is Bradley.

          Exciting fight - Ortiz.

Don't put all the blame to Pacman,

Before the fight, they criticize Pacman for not fighting African-American Boxer, so his promoter chose Shane. Shane resume looks fine but not his age, but then his friend Hopkins who is older, did perform great.

I don't agree that Pacman' prime has been squandered. In the past we saw great fighters fighting not so great opponents.

You see, Floyd jr has been the one squandering his Prime, ducking Pacman and prefer to beat up woman! he is somehow setting a record on the most numbers of Court cases filed against him!

"Antonio Margarito, pummeled repeatedly, broken orbital bone, sent to hospital, career in jeopardy. Miguel Cotto, pummeled repeatedly, TKO’d, sent to hospital. Ricky Hatton, knocked out cold, sent to hospital, hasn’t fought since. Oscar De La Hoya, pummeled repeatedly, TKO’d, sent to hospital, hasn’t fought since. David Diaz, pummeled repeatedly, TKO’d, sent to hospital."

This is why Floyd doesn't want the fight.

WHy did floyd agree to fight in January 2010 then? All he requested was MAnny take a drug test. Really, is that too much to ask?

Great article, and I totally agree. That clottey fight should have never even happened and mosley humiliated himself with all the running. Its arums job to put pac in exciting fights that will sell and will further pacs legacy. While he is making a lot of money for pac, arum isn't putting him in the best possible situations. We always crap on floyd for wasting his talent, unfortunately manny is falling into the same pattern. Take out clottey and mosley, insert bradley and berto or maybe khan. Arum isn't doing his job, and his petty war with pantyhose man is killing fights that need to happen. Forget jmm, he needs to get pac a fight with either bradley or ortiz. No more retirement parties, I wanna see a real fight.
