BoxingScene.com caught up with former Ring Magazine middleweight king Kelly Pavlik (37-2) after his majority decision victory over the previously undefeated Alfonso Lopez (21-1). Pavlik would do well to work his way through Bute's resume. Some B-level brawlers are a good matchup for him while he tries to work his way back up. Pavlik-Magee would be good for his next fight. Berrio who would come to fight and end up on his back.
If he manages that OK, then have him in against one of the European champions, if he wins that then he can unify with the Super Six winner. But those are some big ifs because he hasn't looked impressive for a while now, and I don't think even the best/prime version of Pavlik does well against someone like Andre Ward.
