What do you not understand about Mayweather and Pacquiao fighting Mosley under two totally different circumstances??

Mayweather vs. Mosley

• Mosley was the #1 WW in the world.
• Mosley was Number #4 P4P in the world.
• Mosley was coming off an impressive victory.
• Nobody boo'd in the Mayweather Mosley fight, even though Mosley was running and trying to survive.
• Floyd didnt Mosley to engaged in order to look good

Pacquiao vs. Mosley
Mosley not even ranked P4p
Mosley havent won a fight in 2 years
Mosley coming off a terrible lost to Mayweather and terrible draw against Mora
The fight was boo'd and people walked out of the fight


Should I continue?

I think if you look at any poll on here the majority of posters agreed Mosley clearly won against Mora in an ugly mess produced by Mora.

Why should ranking have any effect on anything at all? they hand those things out like candy in boxing and where you are ranked has no bearing on what you are capable of as a fighter at any point in time.

I won't even bring up the fact that Mosely had not fought in sometime before Floyd not that I think it made much of a difference but what a bizarre thread to make to try and prop Floyd up over Pac using a "bad" Pac performance where he did just as well if not slightly better than Floyd still as your platform for a vicarious Floyd victory.

My Biggest issue with last night was that team Pac knew that shane was shot.
I had no idea but I had not seen shane's last fight.


They knew he was shot yet they still choose to fight him and then complained that he did not come forward. I felt bad for Shane but in the end I know that he was very happy for the pay day.

Mayweather win was more impressive.

So what you will about Mayweather performance against Shane, except for in round 2, Mayweather never seemed frustrated, confuse, and timid to attack Mosley. As a matter of fact. The impressive thing about that victory was how Mayweather completely control, and dominate Mosley to point where ****m Richardson threatened to stop the fight. Not once did ****m threaten to do that in this fight.

Pacquiao on the other hand had the luxery of watching and studying Mayweather performance against Shane, and learning from Mayweather’s mistakes. Mayweather did not have that same luxary. Freddie Roach is supposedly is such a great trainer, but it is obviously now why they are fighting Mayweathers left-overs. It is because he is stealing Mayweather’s blueprints to success of beating the opponent. And when Pacquiao fights Mayweather’s leftovers that capitalize on the mistakes they made against Mayweather, and minimize the strengths they showed against Mayweather. Which is not a bad thing. However, Not since 2008 have we seen Pacquiao look so confuse, frustrated, and gun shy as we saw last night.

#1. question: why did people boo and walk out of last night fight? So, first you said people booed, then later you added "and walked out" for a little extra added drama that never really happened- but refused to believe that Naazim threatened to throw in the towel in this fight because it "wasn't on video". Okay, so where is your "people walked out of this fight" VIDEO proof? In the Mayweather/Baldomir fight, CELEBRITIES walked out, and the commentators talked about it... that's a fact. I didn't see anyone walking out of the Pac/Mosely fight on video so it must not have happened. SMDH!
#2. question: what about mosley's jab kept pacquiao at distance? As someone else stated, just holding your arm out in front of you is NOT a jab (neither is pawing with your wrist btw), and besides that NEITHER Pac nor Mosely did not LAND enough jabs to make friggen double digits (in any single round) last night, so the "Jab" wasn't doing squat in this fight, but Pac threw and landed more than Shane so I don't get your reasoning!
#3. question: Why was Pacquiao footwork so awful last night, he come in, in straight lines. You keep asking these same questions over and over again, yet you don't want to hear the real reason. Pacquiao said FROM HIS OWN MOUTH that he was having leg problems DURING THE FIGHT. But, you refuse to believe that as a legit reason. Yea, because Pacquiao really needs to lie and come up with excuses on why he WON the fight. Come on dude. And as someone else said, you have excused Mayweathers performance in the Castillo fight (which many believe Castillo won) because of a torn rotator. And for the record Mayweather's dominance of Mosley was far more impressive. But then you could argue, Mosley was tailor made for Floyd to look good, in the same way he was tailor made to make Manny look bad. That's assuming its possible to make Manny look bad.

BUT

You are putting your own spin to the point that one can OBJECTIVELY call it an exaggeration of the truth!

1) Manny won every minute of every round. So to state what you stated is questionable.


2) Manny knocked Mosley down. Mosley called that one of the hardest punches he has been hit in a very long time. I think that would be called a compliment to someone that has a well known iron chin!


3) Mosley was running after being hit. He was running so much that it did make it difficult for Manny or anyone to get to KO Mosley. By the way, it was Mosley's running and providing no offensive attack that got the crowd booing. Even the commentators were saying Mosley needs to take risks.


4) Mosley and Manny were way too chummy chummy. They hugged and gave each other high fives way too much. I think that plus Manny winning every round took something off of Manny's game. Just look how he stepped it up after the bad call by the ref. With a Floyd in front of Manny it would be game on from the opening bell.


5) yes, Manny was careful to be sure that he doesn't get countered. I'm quite sure that the plan was to be very careful with Mosley as he still can punch (see Floyd vs Mosley 2nd round). Manny said so after the fight that Mosley was waiting to counter. Manny was smart to see this and did more than enough to win EVERY SINGLE ROUND!!!


6) For the Floyd fight, Mosley was there to be hit much more often BUT there were several rounds that even Floyd was not doing much hitting. Still the key was that Mosley came forward much more with Floyd while with Manny, Mosley ran! Quite different circumstance therefore you can't compare it the way YOU did!

Defense:
- Floyd got hurt badly in that 2nd round against Mosley. In the other rounds, Mosley still tried (came forward) but looked too gassed to do anything.
- Defensively Manny shut down Mosley cold!!! It was a complete shutout. So he did way better than the master defensive technician Floyd!

Offensively:
- Floyd never knocked Mosley down ... Mosley was for the most part always in front of Floyd. Meaning that Mosley NEVER RAN during the fight. Floyd still just did enough to win the rounds.
- Manny knocked Mosley down and more importantly, it halted any kind of offense from Mosley. Manny hurt Mosley enough that it got Mosley running all night long. When has anyone every seen Mosley do that? Talk about getting respect!!!


8) If you hate when someone fights cautiously, the way Manny did last night then there is a problem. Why? Like I said, Manny dominated every minute of every round, and when Mosley ran, Manny appeared content with just winning the rounds. Now, Floyd usually fights that way and just does enough to win the rounds. For example, look at his last 2 fights. Marquez went up 2 divisions and all Floyd did was something similar to last night. Floyd did also something similar against Mosley. Did you see a KO in those 2 fights? Well, like I said before the best chance at a KO was Mosley doing it on Floyd!!!

Floyd ALWAYS FIGHTS CAUTIOUSLY ..... defense and just enough offense .... Do you hate him too?

9) Manny said he was injured. He felt it during the fight. Now, he still won every round but you don't seem to buy that nor was it enough for you (winning every round). BUT I'm sure you buy when Floyd says he was injured during the Castillo fight right? Or that he needs to use Xylocaine on his average performances. right?



10) You said that Mosley hasn't won a fight in 2 years .... BUT when people told you that Floyd fought a Mosley that was ~39, hadn't fought in 16 MONTHS and took his old body thru 2 training camps in a row (meaning over-trained) YET Mosley gave Floyd the biggest problem of his career in the 2nd round, Floyd couldn't KO nor even knock Mosley down in that sorry condition that Mosley was in YET you have a problem with Manny?

It was apparent from round 2 that Mosley was only there for a pay check, and Pacquiao still could not get him out of there. All he had to do was pick up the pace and take the risk necessary to Knock him out BUT HE COULD NOT DO IT. He excuse was Mosley ran from him. Well Cotto ran from you too Pacquiao and you knock him out.
btw, coming to last night fight. Mosley had not WON A FIGHT IN 2 YEARS! And was 39 Years Old!

Most of those points you made, I already responded to.

Example: You are looking at punch stats but did you care to include that with Floyd, Mosley was there to be hit (coming forward) while with Manny he ran like nobody has ever seen Mosley run in his entire career?


You say except for round 2. What? How can you say except for round 2? Floyd got a huge beating in that round so you can't say except for round 2. Still, you can't give Mosley any huge rounds or any rounds for that matter against Manny. It was a total shutout!

Was this because of what he did in 2010, the year that Mosley fought Floyd? NO!!! It was because Mosley beat a brickless Margarito in January 2009. That's right something he did to someone who just got caught cheating before the fight 16 MONTHS BEFORE the fight with Floyd.
