Winning a world title in a 4th weight division is a major achievement.

The boxing writers on the various websites should be paying more attention to this today.

Was it a title in his 4th weight class? On the Sky Sports commentary yesterday they kept saying it was a world title in his 3rd weight class. But either way, a huge achievement!

The SKY commentators were mistaken, some of the boxing websites got it right today though.

He's won world titles at Light Flyweight, Flyweight, Super Flyweight, and Super Bantamweight. That's four weight divisions.

He also won the WBO Latino title in a 5th weight division (Bantamweight), but I'm not counting that.

Cheers man, I always take what Sky Sports say with a pinch of salt and apprehension because they never seem that knowledgeable or say ****** things. Isn't Arce the fist Mexican to win world titles in 4 weight divisions then? If so, a double well done to Arce.

Yes, Arce is the first Mexican fighter to accomplish that.

He's definitely a Hall of Fame boxer.

By far the fight of the night and was so damn proud of Arce. Dude throught his career has always been all heart and determination. He showed that again last night, it's like they say never underestimate the heart of a champion. Wilfredo Jr. fought well especially the middle rounds but Arce was not to be denied. Looking forward to a rematch between these two!

Acre didn't hold a major world title at 112 so he is actually only a 3 weight World Champion.

I thought there were many close rounds early to midway through the fight but Arce turned it up a notch and started imposing his will on Vazquez in the 11th round.

The 12th round was incredible; to see a guy let his hands go so much after going 11 fast paced rounds was a sight. I hadn't seem many of his fights before, but this guy made me a fan last night. Great victory and gutsy performance..

In my opinion, four. He won that Flyweight interim title and successfully defended it several times.
