Comments Thread For: Marquez: Diaz Fight in July, Then Pacquiao in November!

LAS VEGAS—Juan Manuel Marquez, who hopes for a third chapter bout against Manny Pacquiao, probably here at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino and probably on Nov. 5 or 12, just confirmed a story which appeared on BoxingScene.com a few days ago.

JMM LOL'd at GBP's offer to match the Pacquiao fight. Best of luck to him.

Floyd just got screwed big time. Still, that is his own fault for *****ing out of fighting Manny.

This fight needs to happen for closure.

David Diaz is still fighting? He doesn't fight anything like Pacquiao and this fight won't make any money.

marquez deserves an easier fight to get ready for pacquiao. Pacquiao won't be ready to fight again by November anyway, so why not let marquez have a go at diaz. I bet Diaz brings it, and provides us with a good fight; a good fight in regards to action. While it will mostly be marquez picking diaz to pieces, still should be entertaining

              this is a dumb fight.

diaz is not relevant at all... jmm should take the judah fight at 138 or even 140.

for the first time in YEARS i will not be looking forward to a jmm fight =[

ultimately, i concur with you; but marquez has been a warrior who has provided us with **** for our buck, so we can't diss him too much for this fight. JUST as long as he actually fights pacquiao in november, and doesn't try to come at pac with ridiculous 50/50 demands.

well call me crazy but i dont think judah would be a problem for jmm lol.
(i mean he CAN but i dont think zj WOULD)

judah would try to assert himself knowing he'll be the faster/stronger guy and jmm would keep distance and pick him apart within 11 IMO.

only if jmm pressed the action early-on would he have any issues cause zab would KO him if jmm did that.

And if David Diaz [who has nothind to lose] by any chance beats JMM, then again, by mere destiny, he foils his chance to challenge Pacman as Berto did- for a mere change.

-by his own dumb undoing, and he will start crying again.
