Its not because hes european lol, it's because hes WHITE. Boxing HATES white fighters. When pavlik won the MW crown and K.O'd JT nobody gave a ****. Nobody cares about the K bros. Nobody cares abouts about white fighters because the media tells you that whites are not supposed to be fighters bbut nerds

Alot of Americans do respect Calzaghe's accomplishments! If he fought his career in America he probably would have not wasted so much time with the less respected wbo title and lesser competition the wbo allows, he would have unified earlier in his career as well and been moved faster. But he was very good and still would have been just as sucessful.

Thats taking it too far. Pavlik was very popular after he won the title. AT LAST America had its own white boy champion! That is precious beyond words and don't forget, after all 80% of America's population IS white. So...another thing is the boxing circles, they tend to get dominated by people who hug the dancers like Bradley or huggers/rabbitpunchers like Hopkins. But they are multicolored, these guys.

Calzaghe calls out RJJ in 2001: no anwser
calzaghe cals out Bhop in 2002: no anwser
calzaghe calls out RJJ again in 2003 and 2004: no anwser

They waited until calzaghe was past his prime, and made him fight at LHW instead of his real weight and on USA home turf, and calzaghe beats the **** out of both of them

Look, the division wasnt very strong in Joe's days as champion. Toney and Jones were also gone from it by the time he won the title. He'd have to move up to 175 and he was willing, someone already posted a video from 2002 I believe where Joe says he wants to fight Jones. At 175. So its not a matter of fighting bad opposition, its a matter of fighting the opposition available. Steve Collins also refused to fight him and retired instead. It narrowed down the list of really good fighters he could fight.

The thing is, white American sports fans don't like white athletes. They rally around black boxers, black football players and black basketball players.

ask a young kid playing basketball who is his hero steve nash or kobe byrant? The USA media boycotts all white athletes.

If Jason Litzau was British he would be bigger than Ricky Hatton (and undefeated).
