    Just rewatched pac vs cotto

Few things I noticed when really examining them more than the fight

Pac has little head movement, when he is not throwing or thinking about throwing, he keeps a high guard but can get popped by the jab and perhaps a straight right in a 1-2 combination

one other thing I realised is that the above turns out to be his advantage, with other fighters engaging after landing a few jabs, pac then unleashes his own offensive, his punches are just too good, coming from all angles while the guy he is fighting is on the offence himself (this was cottos biggest downfall early on, pac taking 1 shot but landing 3 himself)

Pac protects his chin very well, cotto landed a lot of shots to the side of pacs head, even do his ribs but very rarely did cotto land a clean shot in the fight direct on the chin which pac did himself early on, eventually resulting to knocks downs

leads me on if pac is beatable

my answer is yes as is every boxer I have seen. I honestly believe, an ugly ugly boxer like hopkins style can beat Pacman, landing that jab or 1-2 and then clinching right away, that for me is someone like floyds only chance, he did that very well vs hatton

again remember what i said, when the guy is landing his jab, he does open up a bit which lets pac in, if he sees a tiny bit of space, he exploits it

    the question is

can the other guy (floyd) land his one, two and then hold pac to stop him attacking

or does floyd end up like another mayweather

regardless this was a fcking amazing fight, cotto deserves major props, really dont think anyone in the world can beat pac at 147 right now but he gave it his all, pac was just too good

      LOL...the PAC fantasy fight again.

Don't waste your time because we all know PAC will get crush. PAC already beat Cotto but in a fantasy fight will still lose to Cotto.

Pac's head movement looked pretty decent to me.

He slipped Cotto's jab with ease got off his own left hand while doing so. Which personally is the thing that has impressed me the most about Pac over the years.

He will do that to Shane alot easier and more consistently that he did with Cotto.

        Which is bad bad news.

What impressed me was his right hook roll under LOL. Even Ricky knew it was going to be a right hook and roll under but he still couldn't get away LOL.

I think all the guys that pac has faced all think he is small and try to bully him or think his punches wont affect them because he is "the smaller guy". Then when in the ring we all see the results. I think all of pacs fights since moving up could have been somewhat competitive and Cotto could have taken him had he not thought that he could take pacs punches.
which brings me to SSM. I hope he doesnt have the same mentality thinking that he has been in there with bigger stronger faster punches than pac because if he does then its lights out.

That was pretty comical. It was genuinely hilarious when watching that segment of 24/7 knowing that Pac would have little to no trouble landing that right hook whilst avoiding Hatton's wide left.

But personally I'm more impressed with the slip of the jab to land his own left whilst doing so. Impeccable timing.

Is this the fight that was fixed so Cotto wouldn't try to win? Or is this the one where Cotto was so drained that he had no strength? Or was it that he was someone else's leftovers and was a shot fighter? Or this the one with the secret rehydration clause so Cotto couldn't weigh over 147? Or was Pacquiao on PEDs and that's why he was able to handle Cotto's power so well? Or was it the HGH that made his head bigger and jaw stronger? Now I remember, it's all of those right.

The mosley bit I agree, what saved cotto an even worse beating was his movement to try and duck and get out of the way, in the end it delayed the beating but damn mosley wont be able to move like that at all, he is going to get a beating

thing is I think mayweather will fight standing still is as well, he wont be on his toes which is needed against pac

In the second round where Manny started his assult on Cotto was so awesome. He threw like a 3 punch combo or something and it landed like 2. One of them being a mini uppercut. Cotto rushed Manny after that and got counter by a right hook. Cotto again tried to come in and got slap by another perfect timing right hook LOL. Those 5-10 secs was just pure Pacquiao technical boxing at it best.
