Floyd IMO wasted a good amount of his prime years. People think he was at his best at Lightweight (which I partially agree), but he was still prime when entering Welterweight, he simply just didn't challenge himself after he made a killing on the Oscar fight. Most fighters from there would've carried the torch (which that fight seemingly was supposed to be), but he just didn't do that. In comes Pacquiao and is fighting guys Floyd's fought and guys many believe he ducked (Cotto and Margarito) beating them all. Now it becomes the finger pointing at Manny for fighting a Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito, now Shane Mosley as them being no threat or legit competition. I never understood why people undermine these wins being they were all the top dogs in the division just a short year or 2 ago. Had it been Floyd who beat Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, and Mosley, the Mayweather fans would be throwing weekly parades in honor of dude. But Pacquiao beats them all (minus Mosley yet) soundly, and it's not worth notoriety?

Pacquiao is eclipsing Floyd. Not because he's "better" than him, he's just continuing to fight while Floyd isn't. Consistency >>>>

Can Floyd somehow just disappear and not be talked about anymore? The guy is inactive and avoids tough fights so why is anyone still bringing his lame ass up?

The boxing public is gradually moving on from Mayweather, but will fully embrace him when he decides to fight again...world keeps turning.

Another one that just counts the name value ,,,, Manny handcuffs his opponents with clauses that really hurt them , and on top of that he picks a time when they are at their worst ,,,, dont big note on the wins because they were not fair and square contests ,,,

IT makes a big difference , Oscar Hatton and Mosley were waaaaaay better when Floyd fought them , Oscar had a stone on Floyd , ODH weighed less than Manny , and you claim a Pac win over a deadman walking Oscar , Manny ducked the same Mosley that Floyd fought , Hatton vs Floyd was the best Hatton to ever set foot in a ring , the Hatton that Manny fought was a joke that was never the same after Floyd ,,,,,geta outa here !!

The public are hard to fool at the end of the day. You can fool yourself as much as you like, like floyd does, but the truth will out.

Pac is just keeping busy fighting SSM. He had a hard last fight and hopefully this fight will be as easy as some people make out it should be. Of course it wont be though. SSM is fighting Pac afterall, and everyone raises their game for Pac.
You make absolutely no sense. Nobody has forgotten Floyd. He's the best heel in the sport right now. When they mention Floyd's name Saturday watch how many boo's you hear. That's not being forgotten my friend. When someone boo's that means they harbor a sense of yearning for something (i.e. a better performance than what they're seeing or a disdain and desire to see someone do bad). Each one of those boo's represent $ because each one of them, you included, will pony up whatever the cost is to witness Floyd in action. Get with the business side of things. That's why Pac will constantly do less numbers than Floyd. His only paying audience are people who want to see him win. Floyd's paying audience consist of people that want to see him win, and just as much of people who want to see him lose.

And Roach is a joke on a personal level. He trained a guy (Oscar) who fought once a year and he didn't go off on these "his career is down the toilet" rants then. This is a gladiator sport. If you can make in one fight, what somebody makes in two, which would you choose? The man is 34. There aren't many camps left in Floyd. People are running around like Floyd is some 20 something young lion that they made quit the game. Age, finances, etc have put Floyd, and many other fighters before him, in a position where they don't have to sacrifice 6 months outta the year to generate income.

Floyd career is down the toilet and his legacy will be that he ducked a fight with Pacquiao and other.

Whenever a tough fight was on the horizon Floyd would retire (take a break) from boxing.

After Oscar, Marg wanted a fight Floyd said he was retiring.

After Hatton, Cotto wanted a fight Floyd said he was retiring.

After Mosley, Pacquiao did everything to get Floyd to sign, Floyd said he wanted to take a year or two out of boxing.

Just because people talk about him doesn't mean that he isn't wasting away his best years.

People talk because we as boxing fans want to see him vs Manny.

Floyd is getting up there in age, he has not time to waste.
