Meh...good tune-up. It's better than fighting Márquez, though.

Ortiz is nowhere near as good as Márquez, but he's decent, has a southpaw stance, brings speed, power, and youth.

......I'd still bet Mayweather to tag Ortiz over and over again.

Ortiz showed resiliency in the last fight and got past Berto in an upset, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. This is NOT the guy that's going to beat Mayweather.

The rumors are like pieces of a puzzle falling perfectly into place, though.

September (Mexican holiday), Mexican opponent who can punch, southpaw stance has a measure to see how Mayweather would (more or less) do against Pacquiao...

It's a good choice for an opponent.

In terms of P4P i agree with you but at 147 i think Ortiz is much better then JMM and although both have only fought once Ortiz looked so much more comfortable at 147 more powerful and just more confident in himself.I like this match up even though Floyd should win it would be a nice win on his resume
