Froch clearly lost to Dirrell, and was given home cooking there. If he beats an ancient Johnson that is good, but Johnson has recently shown his age the last two years or so. Thus so far, no ATG at all.

If Froch beats Johnson and then goes on to beat Ward, and then Bute. He could then be considered a current great, but even then ATG? Maybe at the back of the list. If he beats a few more good fighters, say a re-match with Kessler, and a re-match with Dirrell in the USA or neutral country, and really wins this time, he'd be getting close to an ATG.

There's a lot of ifs there. I don't think he can do all this. Then again he has surprised us before. And recently I think he has improved, and is a multi-dimensional fighter with tremendous guts.

So it is still possible, but he is a way off.

    FROM CLEARLY LOST TO DIRRELL??

Obviously not, boxrec punch stats scored it to froch, the ring side press scored it to froch, manny stewart, allan green, jimmy iowa, dan rafael scored it to frochm buncey scored it to froch, and i was there live and everyone in the arena including myself scored it to froch, even this guy scored it to froch..

so for it to be clear surely people have to agree with you???

Poor post mate, think next time you post...

Calzaghe would have had no trouble with Froch. Indeed Froch is the ideal opponent for Calzaghe. And if he had fought/beat him that would have been the end of this discussion. Froch should thank his lucky stars.

Not at all, I think Johnson is a very live underdog who might well pull off an upset

As far as Dirrell, I don't know what is up with him lately. He may need permission now from Dr. Shaw High.

Carl Froch will mother Andre Ward's children.

ATG? I like the guy, but I doubt he's ever gonna get that far. HOF maybe, but ATG...he'd have to beat Ward and like you said, beat someone like Dawson and Pascal. He must beat both to even be considered for ATG inclusion.

Yours is poor mate. Obviously all the Brits rooted for Froch. I believe polls here at NSB had Dirrell winning.

I don't recall what the talking heads on HBO said, and I can't trust your recall from what you just wrote--very biased. You think Froch beat Kessler? Show me the vids or other proof for your claims.

I saw the fight and it was rather laxative from both sides, but Froch hardly landed a punch in most rounds. Dirrell did a little better.

                    I apologize to many Brits.

In searching online, I have come across many statements from objective Brits such as "I am British, and I have to apologize for the robbery that took place last night. Dirrell clearly won..."

I see that there was no compubox stats for this fight because they work with HBO and not SHO. And boxrec you have shown me is a joke as far as scoring. I also found online many people from around the world who saw the fight and said Froch clearly did not land 30 punches throughout the fight. I agree. Boxrec has 153 to Dirrell's 106. Very funny.
At least one judge wasn't on the payroll and gave it to Dirrell.

Yes it wasn't a great fight from either side, but Dirrell landed far more punches.

And that is boxing alas, home cooking in every country. Not just Britain--Germany, USA, everywhere. Ruins boxing.
