Objectively speaking here. I have nothing against Froch. I admire his toughness and his win over AA shows that he is not 1-D anymore.
But he lost to a Kessler that may be half the Kessler that was beaten handily by Calzaghe. His fine win over AA was over a blown up MW. Froch clearly lost to Dirrell, and was given home cooking there. If he beats an ancient Johnson that is good, but Johnson has recently shown his age the last two years or so. Thus so far, no ATG at all.
If Froch beats Johnson and then goes on to beat Ward, and then Bute. He could then be considered a current great, but even then ATG? Maybe at the back of the list. If he beats a few more good fighters, say a re-match with Kessler, and a re-match with Dirrell in the USA or neutral country, and really wins this time, he'd be getting close to an ATG.
There's a lot of ifs there. I don't think he can do all this. Then again he has surprised us before. And recently I think he has improved, and is a multi-dimensional fighter with tremendous guts.
So it is still possible, but he is a way off.Comment

If he beats Johnson, And Ward, and lets say Bute or pavlik, you can argue it, what's a shame is if Calzaghe would had manned up and fought him, After Froch beat him I would had argue for his favor, but the Kessler loss hurtsComment

It depends on how he looks/wins his next few fights..IMO if he wins the Super Six he would be in ATG status already with me(but that's not fair I'm a fan)..But I would say move up and win a belt and that should do it right there..
So win the Super Six then move up and take another strap, that would seal the deal for me..Comment
