I chose Salido, it was between him and Ortiz for me.

I chose Salido because many considered Lopez to be boxing's next big star, so it was the biggest upset in a month with many upsets.

If I was to choose best fight of the month, it would be either the Ortiz fight or the Marquez fight.

        Victor Ortiz.

The only other fight Berto came close to losing was against Collazo, a top 10 WW at the time, who had given Hatton and Mosley all they can handle. although Mosley clearly beat him.

The other fight Lopez came close to losing was against Rogers Mtagwa, a guy with over 10 losses.

P4P Berto is better than Lopez imo.

Ortiz beat the better fighter. That's my pick.

          .
Hellz nah Kev. Juanma was actually a top 10 P4P fighter and was also #1 in his division getting there by beating good fighters

Salido is a good choice. I think if you picked Salido or Ortiz, you're not wrong. Both of them are the right choice.

If by many you mean PRBestBoxing and Champboxr, and the rest of the Ricans, I agree. But a lot of other people from different nationalities, thought Gamboa would be the bigger of the two, including me. People were already predicting Lopez was a KO waiting to happen, that's not seeing him as the big star to me.

I pick Ortiz because people expected him to lose because of his past, and the fact that he stepped to 147 for the first time and defeated Berto in an exciting performance.

                most exciting fighter=ortiz
                best win=salido

i gave it to ortiz because i follow his and berto's career more. i also always heard people saying lopez would get whooped by someone who can take his punches. berto was more of an untested fighter, people wondered how he would do against good fighters. but it doesn't take anything away from salido. great win for him, especially in PR.

What good fighters did he beat that are better than Collazo and Quintana? I mean Lopez beat fighters that were as good as Urango and Forbes that's about it.

And it is very hard to be in the top 10 P4P from WW when you had guys like Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto and Mosley not wanting to give Berto a shot. When Mosley finally gave Berto a fight, that earthquake happened and Berto lost family and pulled out.

Let's not act like Lopez beat Gamboa, John, Caballero, the top 3 FW's. That would have been a whole different resume if he had wins over those guys. But imo, his resume is no better than Berto's.
