Got to disagree to a certain extent bro...can floyd outbox cotto he can but he aint beating the crap out of him like u say cotto has a very hard jab and he loves fighting BOXER'S.he is a guy who loves take hes time and break u down piece by piece and he will hammer that body dont base cotto's losses margarito very tough Bastard who has incredible stamina and manny is manny.. he has trouble against people who put alot of pressure on him...Manny is a offensive Juggernaut who will beat the hell out of u if u stand infront of him or put pressure on him...Jr aint walking over cottoComment

you crazy, While I agree Mayweather would win to me it would be a much closer fight than you think. Mayweather won't do to Cotto what Manny did. Pacman brawled and even took some heavy shots from Cotto to land his own. Money May on the other hand is way too defensive he doesn't pressure and is not aggressive enough like Manny and Marg who is willing to take shots. And he can't Counter everything Cotto does. Cotto is no Gatti he has a good well timed jab picks his shots well and when he fights at his pace he's no joke. I give it to May but not as one sided as you think.Comment

I know u like Cotto I do too man but reality is Cotto is just not on the same level as Floyd. Floyd never ducked him and you need to do your research. If you did you would see when floyd was up and coming he called out cotto in his prime when he was on Top Rank and they said Cotto wasn't ready. Now Cotto is not prime anymore Floyd will **** him and then it will be awwwwwwwww man why Floyd fight him prime Cotto would have won. Face it facts
"We're looking for guys like Ricky Hatton and 'Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather. So you're seeing now the finishing touches on the emerging superstar, and in 2006 hopefully he will be able to claim the mantle of the real, real superstar."
Hatton emerged as the recognized 140-pound champion with his TKO of Kostya Tszyu June 11. Mayweather, the pound-for-pound king who is also promoted by Arum, stopped Arturo Gatti to claim a junior welterweight title two weeks later.
Cotto against either man would certainly qualify as a super fight, but before either match can be explored seriously, he has to keep winning."

If Cotto was such a great technician then Margarito would have been easy for him. Cotto cannot be a good technician if he cannot even adjust in mid fight. He has one game plan and that is to get you out of there. Emmanuel Steward is helping him but I don't think it is enough. Maybe before Margarito with Steward, the fight could have been competitive but now? I always said Cotto needed a new trainer for YEARS.Last edited by GRUSTLER; 05-03-2011, 05:29 AM.Comment

Cotto couldn't even find a way to beat Margarito who is right there in your face. He didn't even know how to sit on his punches for them to have affect AND he didn't even use his best punch, which is the body punch. Mayweather would beat Cotto up and especially at this stage. 2 totally different levels and Cotto is not on Floyd's. Cotto styles reminds me of big punchers Floyd fought like NDou. People keep talking about Floyd like he is soft. Cotto is not skilled enough to get Floyd out of there. That's just my opinion and if that fight happens, Emmanuel Steward is stopping it and I'll bet points on that.In every big fight that Cotto has been in. He has taken big shots from fighters with not even half the skill and accuracy of Floyd Mayweather Jr. Cotto is too open for Floyd and Floyd is too defensive for Cotto. I just see Floyd beating Cotto up and I have felt like that for YEARS.
I mean Manny is possibly faster than Cotto but I don't think he is skilled enough defensively to keep Cotto off of him. Plus it takes Manny some rounds to finish his opponents with his power & I think Cotto would be able to take Manny's power & give his own punches back & drop Manny. What people are forgetting is that Manny ****s out & he could not **** out with Cotto & he sure couldn't out box Cotto because Cotto has a lil skill in that department. Over all I feel Cotto's power & prime condition would be too much for Manny's speed because Cotto is not slow & is fast enough to get to Manny. But I much rather see Mosley/Cotto 2. Forget these fantasy match ups.Hold up everyone! You guys have the nerve to say Pacquiao has a chance to beat Miguel Cotto but Floyd Mayweather Jr would get beat by Cotto? Are you guys smoking? Manny is a GREAT offensive fighter granted but he gets hit flush WAY TOO MUCH to even be able to withstand a Miguel Cotto power punch. Manny had his knees buckled by JMM. Manny hasn't even been tested above 135 & you guys give Manny a chance against Miguel Cotto (PRIME) at 147?
I'm not even a Cotto fan & I know that Manny would feel one of them power shots & drop. Manny is a speedy fighter but he totally abandons defense to over whelm his opponents with speed. For the record Cotto ain't no Oscar De La Hoya. In order for Manny to beat Cotto he would have to pressure him & engage meaning he would have to exchange with Cotto.
Cotto has speed so Manny wouldn't be able to dance & move around because we have all witnessed from the Zab Judah fight that it is not wise to back up against Cotto because he is a come forward pressure fighter. I just don't feel Manny power would bother Cotto much at 147. Freddie Roach even said in a potential match up with Mayweather Jr he would try to get Floyd at a catch weight to give Manny a chance, so that tells you that Manny cannot hang with a prime fighter at 147.
I think everyone is pretty much missing the over all view right
now. I see it like this. Manny Pacquiao looked spectacular against
David Diaz and Oscar De La Hoya but prior to them fights he fought
to a questionable decision win against a tough Juan Manuel Marquez
and Ricky Hatton is a bigger pressure fighter that is very durable and
even in his worst performances he fought hard and went toe to toe
with bigger men and didn't quit nor give up! So the notion going
around stating that lil Manny is going to stop Hatton at his
comfortable weight that NO other 140lb fighter was capable of
doing prior, is just too hard for me to believe.
Especially considering that Hatton knows how important this fight
is and that he has Floyd SR in his corner. Honestly I don't think
Hatton will allow Manny to throw all them fast punches because
Manny will be backing up most of the time. Plus, if you look at it
like this, eventhough Pauli has lil power, he still has a durable chin
and Hatton was rocking and almost dropping him with a single punch
and it could be possible that Pauli at his comfortable weight (140)
chin is more solid than Manny's because Manny has been hurt and
wobbled by a lesser puncher in Marquez and I know for sure that
Manny is not going to be able to dance around and avoid a game
Hatton without getting hit for 12Rds.Comment

Why don't you dig up my other predictions as well. Like Sergio beating Paul Williams in the rematch or Floyd beating Shane exactly how I said he would OR calling the Sergio/Sergei fight to be stopped in round 8. Remember those? Sure you do because you had to go waaay back to dig these up. How about digging up my post when I gave Pac props for winning ALSO try digging up my posts when I picked Manny first and then Cotto because I wasn't sure. You can't make me seem like I don't know what I'm talking about. You don't get them right all the time. Ok, so Pacquiao was in some easier fights than I expected. That's why I laugh at Pac fans who say Manny is fighting game opponents because if you pick against him because you think the fight will be competitive, then you don't know what you are talking about? Basically all you are saying is that Manny had gimme fights and not competitive ones. ATLEAST I wanted to believe they would be competitive. Great job making Manny out to be a cherry picker. ATLEAST I tried to give him some props by thinking the other guy had a chance.Comment

floyd is a joke... An overhyped unproven fighter. Who else did you want him to beat after hatton, jmm or mosley? Man, he cant even take cotto, margarito or clottey and now you think he is better than any of them? He dont even have balls to face them! Pacquiao will give floyd his first ko. Watch out for the bad left hook! Aw, it was the left uppercut...Comment

And on top of that! My prediction for Manny/Cotto was for 147, not a 145 one. I give full credit to Manny for stopping Hatton at 140 where he was undefeated. Get off my nuts with always saying "You were wrong about Manny so you don't know what you are talking about" While I also made DEAD ON PREDICTIONS as well. IF this Floyd/Cotto fight happens, then come see me and I'll bet 1MIL on it that Floyd humiliates and beats Cotto up.Comment

There is no way that Floyd ducked Cotto when Arum kept Floyd away from him. I still don't know why people keep running with that. Even before Margarito Cotto would get beat. Cotto's always been, no defense, easy to hit and take away his power and he would panic. Never would have picked Cotto to beat Floyd. Just watching their old fights and seeing from a performance perspective. I would rather see Floyd get at Ortiz because Cotto has unfinished business with Margarito and a fight with Floyd would make people not interested in Cotto because the fight would be so one sided. That's just my opinion so don't go off on me because it's ok to agree to disagree on that. Floyd beats Cotto all day, everyday. Floyd has no power to stop Cotto? Have any of you guys EVER seen Floyd fight before 147? Accuracy and pin point counter punching will stop Cotto. You see Naazim almost threw in the towel for Mosley because the whupping was so onesided.
Great gif is that from Kagemusha?Comment
