Cotto shouldnt be fighting Mayweather or Hatton until those 2 fight and get it on....Id really like to see Cotto face Sharmba or a possible fight with Tszyu and then move onto the winner of Mayweather vs Hatton (if that fight ever takes off)...It's a shame though, I was really looking forward to Branco vs Cotto that would have been a pretty competitive fight while it lasted.
So he fighting bums, but no!, he shouldnt fight the best either...
So if you say Maussa is a D level fighter, who is a C-B fighter at 140? Tszyu only wants an Hatton rematch...

Cotto did not stop Lovemore N'Dou, but yeah I agree with a lot of this. People keep saying that he's facing soft opponents...but I think he's just facing a slew of solid opponents with different styles in order to prepare him for the big boys.
N'Dou
Maussa
Abdullaev
Bailey
Corley
Pinto
Bazan
Those guys are all pretty solid fighters. We all know that Corley is on the next tier of 140 fighters...
Come the **** on. Maussa is far from a solid fighter. He's a ****ing bum, and Harris is an idiot who burned himself out in one. Maussa knows that if he had to box Harris, or anyone who can box, he's lose, which is why he denied a Harris rematch. Maussa is a nothing more than a journeyman who got lucky.

Come on man, you probably have never even heard the name Maussa before...That guy shouldnt get any recognition and whoever justifies him as being a top guy let alone b-c tier fighter really needs to think over their statement.
Rodgers-Cotto has fought the best fighters outside of the champions...140 is considered a "hot" division but looking at the top 10 list it is putrid...140 is garbage right now, if it wasnt for Cotto,Mayweather, and Hatton the division would be complete ****...Hardly enough to warrant the "hottest" division in boxing.

Well, Maussa holds one out of four belts so you are just hating on the guy, and do you need more than four great fighters (Tyszu got dropped out, since he isnt fighting soon I think after Hatton)?
I never said that Maussa was some top level fighter that Cotto has on his resume. He IS however a SOLID win, being that he just KNOCKED OUT a widely regarded top 5 140 pound fighter. Sure maybe HArris burned himself out, but he hit Maussa with everything he had and couldn't get the job done. Maussa then knocked him out with 1 punch...that = a solid win in my book.
Cotto dominated and KOed Maussa with ease. Maussa isn't a GREAT win...but it's as good or better than any other win outside of Hattons win over KT.
Cotto's nothing but a cheat. In every single fight he outweighs his opponents by 15+ pounds...I think thats garbage, and boxing should put a stop to bull**** like this. It's a ****ing disgrace if you ask me.
Dan Rafael has a valid point though. He knocked out Corley who is a VERY GOOD opponent. If he knew how to finish, he would be top of the division IMO, he's a really talented fighter, and he's not even fighting at his comfortable weight class imo.
I think Cotto's good but hes shown some *****s in his armour. Mayweather will expose him. Cotto - Hatton would be a class fight, would probably be a really close fight, but if he were to fight Mayweather he would just get outclassed.
Corley did NOT rock mayweather, he stunned him. He ROCKED cotto. if you watch the two fights, there is a huge difference
Keep nitpicking.
Sure, Cotto was hurt worse than Mayweather...but Corley still ROCKED your boy into the ropes with a punch that Floyd didn't see.
I don't expect you to acknowledge that Corley rocked Mayweather however. Mayweather fans never do. Actually he stunned him in the third and rocked him in the 4th (I gave both rounds to Corley).

He beat a guy that was questionable to begin with, I am not hating but I mean come the hell on we are talking about Carlos F'n Maussa for christs sake.....I suppose you will be one of the people praising Hatton after he disposes this bum in 3 rounds...Maussa is garbage and he can take his snaggletooth ass back to the dumpster where he came from...Say I am hating, but I spit on Vicious Vivian as well...So **** on them both...Carlos Maussa credible *laughsunderbreath*
