as much as i dislike margacheato this is exactly whats gonna happen, cotto cannot handle margs constantly walking forward thru his punches and landing uppercuts for 12 rounds

Cotto and Steward know Margacheato has a good chin so I think the game plan for this fight will be Cotto going to the body. Steward has always said Cotto going to the body is Key. Left hook to the body puts Margacheato on his azz.

              Let's look at reality here....

Cotto is the better boxer and also has the speed advantage.

Marg is bigger, stronger and has the better chin.

              If Cotto wins:

              - He will have to be in incredible shape. Because he will need to move and keep his back off the ropes and punch and get out to frustrate and do damage to Margarito. That will take a ton of energy.

              - He will have to pick his spots on when to go to the body. I understand people want to simply and naively say just go to the body but to go to the body you need to get close and that puts him in line for those uppercuts.

              For Margarito to win:

              - He will need to catch more shots with his gloves. He did this very well vs Paul Williams and not take so much damage because he did take damage vs Cotto. Defending the jab needs to improve, that is the punch that is key for Cotto.

              - He will need to pressure, pressure, pressure and force Cotto into a brawl. Use the upper cut, jab to set his shots up and walk Cotto down.

Personally, I just think unless Margarito is completely shot, his style is not a good one for Cotto. Cotto cannot fight going backwards, at least not against a fighter like Margarito that throws so many punches.

Cotto will not make Margarito go backwards, no matter how many hard shots he lands early and eventually will have to get on his bicycle. Now he could hurt Marg, or stop the fight on cuts if he hits Marg enough but again, that will take a great boxing performance from Cotto.

I think Margarito ends the fight in 10 rounds, 1 round sooner than the last and I see Steward throwing in the towel to save his man from more punishment.

I expect Margarito to pressure Cotto like in their 1st fight but the difference between that will be how much Margarito has left after that Pacquaio beatdown, if he has something left in him, Cotto's in for a tough night.

I expect a Rematch to be similer to their first encounter.

I think the Margarito that turned up to face Pac would beat him..

But after another hellacious beating the fight turned in Cottos favour

lakers rule. meaning, i'm not sure. but cotto is supposed to win this fight in accordance to established rules in this forum. margo is coming out of a devastating loss and cotto has been on a winning streak since his last lost. according to that ****** rule, cotto should not even be given credit if he wins this fight.
