What do you guys think? Clay over Liston and Foreman over Moorer are two other great wins.

Ali Frazier III is right up there too.

Although Ali won, the glory is shared in that fight from a historical perspective. Frazier wanted to fight on, his corner pulled him out. The fight has become more symbolic of the H2H equality between Ali and Frazier than a defining victory for Ali.

              Possibly, yes.

I still think his win over Liston in 64 was more shocking.

I can understand that line of thinking, however although Ali had a tune-up or two prior to Frazier, Ali was coming off a significant suspension and Frazier beat Ali by decision (although he knocked him down) while Ali KO'd the fearsome Foreman. I LOVE Joe Frazier btw.

                  You would say that.

You're wrong, though. Way wrong. Analyst and public opinion was stacked against Ali when he took on Foreman. He was an old man about to be destroyed by the ferocious Lion, the hardest puncher, the baddest guy in the history of the sport (public perception).

When Frazier fought Ali the first time, he was the betting favorite on the day of the fight. Public opinion was split. It was a largely competetive fight, with Frazier doing decisive work in the last few rounds to make it his.

The manner in which Ali toppled the Foreman myth, the strategic daring, absorbing what he did and then knocking out the beast, against all the odds, significantly exceeds the glory of Frazier's deserved decision win over Ali in a great, competetive fight.

                  You just hate Ali. Period.
