Golota was humiliated by Lewis, Tyson, and he still got a shoot at Brewster, who humiliate him as well.

Point is if Wlad looses, he should sign with King and get a shoot at Ruiz and Byrd, who he can beat for sure... lol

Ruiz is separating himself from King...Finally Ruiz will be gone!

I havent forgotten but none of them achieved great success...Every time Hearns had risen to the occassion he was taken down a peg. I will heavily criticize Steward for the way he trains his fighters...None of them had great stamina and that had costed them dearly. It was apparent with Hearns and Wladimir most notably...McClellan unfortunately never was able to reach that peak of the top level.

Hearns is one of the most beloved & successful fighters in boxing history, Spinks.

Do you hold the Hagler & Leonard losses against him ? He lost to the two best fighters of the 80's, after giving an incredible account of himself. In fact, he was robbed the 2nd time he fought Ray.
He obliterated two guys considered KO-proof, in Cuevas & Duran.
He OUTBOXED Wilfred Benitez....He moved up to lt. heavy, well past his prime, & easily outboxed & decisioned Virgil Hill.

He LEGITIMATELY won 4 division titles. He's one of the best punchers in boxing history, & prved that he could outbox some of the better boxers he faced.

His losses are blown away by his successes.

Why would Steward pick the deadliest puncher against His charge. Steward could have his career ruined by this fight. Why would a guy who had one of the best middleweights and heavyweights ever put his reputation on the line.
BECAUSE something is shaky about peter, it might be his jaw, stamina, something is up... just remember that.
Think of logic, why choose Peter. Forget all that IBF WBO ranking crap. Vlads team, Steward knows something is up....
It's because Peter has a reputation as being a BIG puncher, but that's it. He's slow, has no defense, and only fought one guy with a punch, Jeremy Williams. And Williams is NOT in the same class as Wlad.

It looks like Wlad Klitschko is taking a risk only because of his recent losses to Sanders and Brewster. A pre-Sanders Wlad should outclass this guy easily. This is a good test to see if Wlad is back, and the fact that Peter is such a big puncher, It should help quiet the "no chin" talk should he win.

I'm not saying that Klitschko is going to win, but he does have a great chance to win. The one question no one is asking is, what if Wlad IS back? If Klitschko's in pre-Sanders form, Peter's in for a world of hurt. These fighters are at opposite ends of the experience ladder and this is a big risk for Peter as well.

I get your point, but exactly how many times did Hearns gas out?
I know about Leonard, but I think that was bad decision making on Hearns' part. Manny said Hearns was training behind his back as well as with him, dunno if that's true. The leonard fight was a fast paced fight too.

Which is Stewards fault, he doesnt have complete control over his fighters. It is the trainers duty to keep an eye on his fighters, obviously Hearns felt something wasnt being done right if he had to go and do extra training. I put the blame on Steward for not being able to control his fighters...*coughVivian*cough*

Jabs-You make valid points and I know Hearns is a great fighter but more or less all I was trying to imply was that a lot of Stewards fighters has had problems with stamina...Everyone speculated that Wladimir was drugged but he was not. He had no problem ****ing for 10-12 rounds any other time prior to Steward. Steward comes in and he can barely make it past the 3rd or 4th round....I put full responsibility on Stewards shoulders for his fighters lacking the stamina....He doesnt have complete control.
