Why would Steward pick the deadliest puncher against His charge. Steward could have his career ruined by this fight. Why would a guy who had one of the best middleweights and heavyweights ever put his reputation on the line.
BECAUSE something is shaky about peter, it might be his jaw, stamina, something is up... just remember that.
Think of logic, why choose Peter. Forget all that IBF WBO ranking crap. Vlads team, Steward knows something is up....
I will tell you exactly what they know. Manny knows Wlad is finished and Peter is the next big fighter. He set up Wlad for a big kO and after he retires, manny is gonna take over control of Peter and take him to the top.

It sounds like a great plan to me. Bye bye Wladdy.

      A fine pugilistic debate.

Wlad and Peter fought in the ams, don't forget. In an interview Wlad never brought it up, but Peter's camp constantly referred to it.

If Wlad knocks Peter down or out I'd be very suprized and impressed.

If it goes Wlad's way, I see him scoring a mid TKO with a bruised and bloody Peter absorbing too many shots while still standing.
I have a question for u, who is more of a devastating puncher, Peter or Klitschko?

Steward was everyone's hero before the Brewster fight as well. He was being heralded as having Wlad primed to take over the division, and 5 rounds later people are crying for Manny to be fired for putting too much Vasiline of Wlad's legs...

Steward is a bum...His only high mark in his career was Lennox Lewis.

As Nautilus said, Wlad had no problems containing Peter back then. Most of their interview (Peter's camp) revolved around this, as in "I know what happened when they fought in the ams, BUT..."

You know, I bet that's EXACTLY what will happen. The old "set your fighter up to be KTFO so their opponent will want to be trained by you" switcheroo. Never fails.

I don't see any great genius here from Steward. This is the fight where Steward finds out if Vlad still has it, or not. Better yet, Vlad can get back into title contention if he beats a prospect with no experience.

If Vlad doesn't step it up now, then when? Steward hopes to use this as a springboard into a title shot. If it doesn't work out, may as well find out now that Vlad isn't worth the effort and move on.
