The refs and judges should be neutral and IMO, from different countries. It's ****** if they are all from California because it gives the appearance of bias, whether they are bias toward Ward or not. Also, Showtime should have insisted Ward fight outside of California, IMO. All fighters in the Super Six should have had the same rules and IMO and should have had to fight at either neutral sites or rotated countries.

However, I find it ironic that Sauerland would ever ***** about anyone getting a hometown advantage. Ask all of the champions/title challengers over the years brought in to fight Sauerland fighters and ask them what they thought of all the "neutral" judges and referees. Most recently, ask Lebedev and Karmazin what they thought about Sauerland's "neutral" officials.

Abraham will be given a fairer shot by American judges and refs than what most fighters get in Germany on a Sauerland card, that's for sure.

This is a great move by Abraham and Sauerland hats off to them. Andre Ward is a cheating headbutting punk who is always fighting home with corrupted refs and judges. Just look at the Bika fight for the proof the hometown ref was corrupted letting Ward headbutt all the time & on top of that the scorecards were corrupted as well. Glad to see someone stepping up to the plate to stop this punk who refused to fight in the super six unless all his fights were in his hometown.

Sauerland appears to be lying about that. Don't you read the other headlines on BoxingScene? Here's what Ward's promoter had to say in response:
