    Looking for a fast buck?

That seems very short-sighted to me.

It's boxing. Why do you think every big fight is on premium cable and PPV?

That does nothing positive for boxing in the long-term.

        I fully understand all that.

But it seems a bit ridiculous that the show a low-level, pot-bellied clubfighter on a PPV because that's the only kind of fighter Zbikowski can beat right now.

That would turn a lot of people off IMO.

He's had 4 pro fights. Who faced anything more than that in their first 4?

            I'm not criticizing his opposition.

But the others don't have their early fights against those very low-level opponents on HBO PPVs. Not even most who were top amateurs.

None of those prospects are cross over athletes from Americas number 1 sport(it's not even close). The worst NFL player could decide to go to boxing and HBO/SHO would be clamoring to televise his fight just so they can tag nfl to his name. It also helps that Zibo was part of the Notre Dame boxing team, its at least a bit more legit but still a farce.

Zbikowski is also not headlining any feature. He's an add in.

I really don't have any issue with it.

Right and Tunneys point is why is Zibo getting even that spot, that some more deserving prospect deserves it. He might be right but that isn't how HBO or any network works. HBO's job isn't to reward the best fighters with big fights or best prospects with tv slots. HBO's job is to make HBO the most money possible.

                      Good explanation.

I understand why, but it seems an injustice because some talented prospects who have dedicated their lives to the sport of boxing since their early teens deserve it more.
