I wouldn't say he was rushed...he beat some good fighters and most of the fights he lost he was competitive in...

A little rushed. At the point he was matched up with Wright he had the ability and precocious ring-knowledge to hang with that calibre of fighter. And it put him in good stead to beat Quartey much more convincingly than he beat Winky.

He needed more experience before being thrown in with the level of ruinous threat possessed by Trinidad in his pomp, though. It's not that Trinidad was technically too great a leap, but the sheer damage threat was something Vargas should have been steered away from 'til he got a year or two more of experience.

He was good but he was rushed too. I can't blame him for fighting Tito because that was the fight that people want to see .

Even though Vargas had spells of success, Tito accumulated a serious beating on him over those 12 rounds. The damage he took in that fight was no small matter.

El Feroz just needed some more maturing before going in the ring with a guy who could make him pay such a heavy price for any mistakes. Maybe he still would have made them, but he would have had a better chance at fighting the perfect fight with a couple years more under his belt.

                He was rushed.

He almost got Tito and that was as a young and inexperienced fighter. Imagine how he'd do with a few more years under his belt... he could have won. That fighted ****ed up his future career.

So yea he was rushed, and no he wasnt "not that good"

                XOXO Sir Jabs-a-lot
