Dibella doesn't have the balls to put Berto in with Ortiz right now. Ortiz already made him look foolish. Berto sucks.

Berto on the other hand looked shell shocked that he was in the ring with a fighter who was fighting back. He didn't know how to deal with it. Berto had his moments, but for the most part his stragety was to hold or to shell up.
Berto was exposed. He was giving a free ride with HBO and as soon as he stepped up to the World Class level he didn't know how to handle it.
WTF
Soooooo uh Khan wasnt exposed by this guy....

Rematch should happen, Berto was the champ and gave Ortiz a shot, in return Ortiz should give a Rematch, especially considering how competitive the fight was, foty candidate. First Andre needs a new trainer, tweak his skills and work on his main down fall his foot work, One tune up, grab a title and lets get a unification on ppv with a great card or co featureLast edited by J Dubb II 330; 04-24-2011, 02:55 PM.

what ortiz has been through is apart of boxing. so he learned from it and moved up and did what he suppose to do. berto is no different.what happend to him is boxing.he's young and will learn from the experience going forward.i'm proud of both of them.

Ortiz beasted that kid
That dude didnt do shyt in the 2nd half of that fight but try to throw haymakers and hold....I would prefer not to see this match up now.

After watching the fight a second time I think the fight was overrated a little bit. The first half was action pack, but Ortiz was winning those rounds and the last half of the fight was much slower with Ortiz getting the better of the two.
I also think we might be under rating berto a little. The guy is still a very good boxer and quite dangerous. He lost his legs in the first round due to that straight left that saw him stumble into the corner.
I also hope Ortiz fights someone more exciting and interesting than this Turk. I'd love to see Ortiz destroy kell brook.

Berto doesn't need to learn anything, he needs to work on his foot work and tweak his skills a little, not load up on punches, and throw them short and not long, he wasn't accurate that night, Ortiz shocked him, he got confused and boxed on instinct and talent which will not win you a match against a very good boxer like Ortiz bringing pressure like that. He should had used his speed and jab more, with body work. break Ortiz down and tire him, then go to more power shots, instead he came out looking for a KO and than panicked looking for more KO shots. The way Berto fought Ortiz is the way he always fights. Its just that ortiz put that pressure on him and forced him to fight on the inside. Berto doesnt want to fight on the inside he wants to pick his shots from the outside and let his speed be effective.....
Maybe Berto could fight....
Mike Jones.....WHO? MIKE JONES!!!!
