Once again...who was the DEFENSIVE master?

I know there are always recycled threads and ****, but this is just to get some new input on this topic.

So yeah, who is your vote for defensive genius? I take Whitaker...the mans reflexes and defensive acumen were unbelievable.

If you vote other explain who you think gets the distinction.

I am glad you put Duran on the poll though. His defence is extraordinarily underrated by most people.

Whitker was a great defensive fighter against smaller guys. Toney's defence carries all the way up to the highest weight class from 160 pounds. And his success is based purely on his defence. When Toney has to fight as the agressor is when he is off his game. He is a pure defensive counterpunching fighter.

                  I vote for Pernell Whittaker.

The guy could compete in Olympic Track Running in his prime.

I'd have to go with Herol Graham, he was a one-off, he was unbelievably elusive, that man was a nightmare to fight and so difficult to hit.
