...What this **** about Dariusz M. having the same quickness as RJJ?

Most of people opining here have not seen Dariusz fight very many times compared to the amount times they have seen Jones. Which is why you are questioning this. But believe me, his reflexes were lightning. Just he had a propensity to brawl and leave the reflexes behind alot of times. But when he boxed at 175 at the time Jones and Dariusz were fighting. Dariusz's reflexes were not THAT much slower than Jones'.Last edited by McKay 1; 09-21-2005, 12:27 AM.Comment

What the hell is p4p reflexes? That'd have to belong to Ali if there was such a thing. Fastest modern fighter ever was a prime Camacho followed by Pea. Roy's up there, but no more so than SRLeonard, Duran, or Wilfredo Benitez.Comment

Roy is the quickest counterpuncher in the history of professional boxing.
Camacho and Whittaker?????? LOL
Maybe Whitaker had faster footspeed and Camacho better counter with hooks but nobody......I mean nobody had faster reflexes than Roy Jones Jr in his prime.
OH and BTW: Roy Jones JR had faster reflexes than Muhammad Ali.

I agree with you about James, his counter-punching and general boxing ability was much better than Jones' but it's just that James was in no fit state to fight that night he fought Jones. It was known a week before the fight that James couldn't win.Originally posted by McKay 1James Toney is by far the best counterpuncher I have ever seen. Maybe you can Jones was a faster one. But Toney's defensive ability and counterpunching is not matched. Not by any fighter I have seen.Comment
