Cotto is ready to retire. This he has made clear "2-3 more fights" and he is out. Clearly he wants to avenge his losses and he would like to do this with minimal wear and tear prior to these rematches. Are you suggesting Arum should match him up with Wlad so that by the time he is in the ring with Margarito or Pac, he is torn up? It's all about redemption and then retirement for Cotto. He is not looking to build a resume at this point in his career.

You're missing the point. Cotto is in retirement mode. He is not looking grow his resume. He said it already 2 more fights... He wants Pac and Margarito. Let these new cats who are looking to make a name for themselves duke it out. Cotto is not in resume-building mode. Pac and Margarito and then retirement. The dude is not looking to be 35-38 and still in the ring.
