And here's Ortiz himself saying the fight is at a catchweight.
“I was really hoping we were coming in at 147, period,” said Ortiz, “but the teams arrange to come in at 146 because I have never fought at 147. I told my coaches I was perfectly OK with coming in at 147 but in the end, they agreed to differ with me. They are the coaches; they are bosses in the gym. So whatever [they] say. I’m just here to fight. I don’t really know why there is a catchweight. I told them I am down to fight at 154 but that is not the case. So there will be a catchweight. 146 is the max. Add a pound to that and it’s 147. I don’t really see the difference.”
I guess he shouldn't be believed either.
