Come fight night they should be equally heavy, I guess Rigo was heavier in their amateur days due to his size.
It is true what you say, that Rigo Gamboa defeated several times in the amateurs. And it is also true that Gamboa has more experience in professionalism.
But the style of boxing Rigon is much better, has good defense and good attack. So if you could hit Rigo Gamboa and beat with a guard, you knock out unprotected. Since the punch of Rigo Gamboa is very strong and gives grounds off guard

Lol, Broner at 130 would have an advantage in everything. He won't dominate him or even look great in beating him but he would outpoint him and win a decsion.

The fight against Cordoba was only Guillermo's seventh pro fight. Like everyone else, I yawned at Rigo's performance. He went straight into amateur mode after touching the canvas (literally) in the sixth. But, when you consider that "El Chacal" has over four hundred amateur fights, you might conclude he deserves a pass for "unprofessional" behavior.

In Rigo's next outing, he performed much more convincingly, to the detriment of poor Willie Casey. Apparently, either Guillermo wanted to prove himself, or someone impressed on him that the amateur style wasn't going to cut it in the pros. Casey was on the receiving end of a terrible, one-sided first round drubbing. Talent might not always show itself; but, when it does, it can be ferocious.

            Are these people? Not me.

I don't write dudes off for losses. In a year or two, I'll probably have different answer, but that's how I see it right now.

Dude needs to grow up. Riggy that is

I could add a bunch of names, but the 1st one that comes to mind is Nonito.

Yes, he does. However, as I stated in my earlier post, it's understandable why Rigo is where he is.

Some solid fighters have defected from Cuba in the last couple of years. In my opinion, only two of them are truly special: Gamboa and Rigondeaux. Yuri is a force of nature. Guillermo is a gifted boxer. When Rigo finds his legs as a professional, it'll be evident to all what a talent he really is.

C'mon, no te hagas el muerto a ver el entierro que te hacen.

Those who said Donaire, Mares, Montiel, Juanma, Mikey, Gamboa, Rojas, Caballero, Ponce De Leon, Broner and their grannies were the ones saying Casey had a huge chance at upsetting Rigondeaux.
