Rigo beat Gamboa a few times in the amateurs, but gamboa was more active since then and adapted more to the pro game. His chances now are better.
Come fight night they should be equally heavy, I guess Rigo was heavier in their amateur days due to his size.

Nishioka vs Rigo has to be one of my top 5 fights this year.Apparently Teiken promotions are going to bring some of their top fighters to America including Nishioka and a fight their interested in is Marquez in Vegas so says Kozumi

Hadn't though about it but Vazquez Jr. vs Rigondeaux would be a good matchup. Rigo looked like crap in the Cordoba fight and it could have gone either way, Vazquez Jr. can pressure him and make it tough on Rigo.

LOL at anyone who didn't see the Cordoba fight as close...seriously wtf? I'm a fan of Rigondeaux and the first time I scored it I had him winning, but it was VERY close and he did get dropped.

As for fighters I'd give a good shot at him, I'd say Gamboa, Donaire, Moreno (if he was to stay active instead of sitting on the sidelines) and maybe Garcia and Mares. I need to see more from the two of them first.

As for Juanma, I don't know...if he improved his defense and the version of him that fought Concepcion showed up then I'd give him a good shot. That Juanma looked so unstoppable, even with his flaws. But right now he gets waxed by Rigondeaux.

Amazing. Salido wasn't even on the radar, until he gave Gamboa a good night's work. Orlando was even considered a "bum" by some people, until he beat Lopez. (Even now, some people still call Salido a "bum.") While I don't underrate Orlando, I certainly wouldn't go as far as saying he would kick Rigo's behind "up and down the ring."
