Khan, as his own promoter, keeps the gate, sponsorships money, etc. All Primetime makes is the money from the pay-per-view. And you forget the amount of money Golden Boy takes for their end, as Khan's promoter.
well it was a rough guess, i didnt know the percentage cut from Primetime (now it's been stated as 50-50) but they didn't have the usual advertising costs etc.. it was Sky who advertised the fight for months until a few weeks before they scrapped it.. so with a 50-50 cut Khan makes around £374,000, around $600,000

but also we need to factor in that they haven't finished counting the numbers yet.. the view count could rise by 1000, 10,000.. who knows for sure.. so it could boost his income to £400-£500,000... When all's said and done, it looks like khan made a lot more going through Primetime then he would if he accepted the final Sky deal..

yeah Sky were offering £250,000 so it looks like khan made the right move going with primetime.. at least for this fight.. depends if the relationship turns permanently sour then down the line it might catch up with him.. but im sure sky will want khan-bradley so everything should work out..

Insiders claim Sky is trying to replace Khan with Froch and Froch left Hennessy for that.Froch is negotiating with Sky himself and seems like Sky is not interested in Khan anymore.

i forgot to factor the HBO money in so yeah it looks like khan made much more than if he stayed with sky.. for all their bad points khans team got it right this time.. overall its a good salvaging job after the card fell apart..

heard Sky had interest in Froch but didnt realise he was being considered to totally replace Khan.. that would be bad news for khan but how can sky turn down khan-bradley.. it's the biggest fight at 140..

even if it happens khan should be able to get it on other channels for a good purse, or even back on Primetime.. hell, i couldnt blame khan for not wanting to deal with Sky after the stunt they pulled this time.

These numbers are all very good... but where's mccloskey's money coming from? Am I right in thinking team khan, having organised the fight, pay him? And wasn't it reported that he was earning in excess of 200k for this fight? Sooo.... If khan got 50% of the PPV (with 50% going to Primetime) then he made 374 less 200 to mccloskey, which makes it 174k. Ouch.
