i just did the maths on this:

number of buys x cost of purchase = total

      50,000 x 14.95 = £747,000

minus the percentage cut for Primetime and khan makes at least £500,000, probably more

It doesn't work like that. No way would Khan walk away with that much from 50,000 buys. The network takes a significant slice for their investment in producing and carrying the show, since that is their only source of revenue with the card. Khan, as his own promoter, keeps the gate, sponsorships money, etc. All Primetime makes is the money from the pay-per-view. And you forget the amount of money Golden Boy takes for their end, as Khan's promoter.

Khan's on a 50-50 deal with Primetime so that leaves him with a gross of £374k from primetime.Much more than what Sky were offering and mind you Primetime did not have a marketing budget for this fight.

After the ****** numbers, Khan could walk away with £500,000 from Primetime. In addition to the HBO money and the gate, Khan's purse isn't looking too bad.
