You've decribed perfectly in about a tenth the time it took me.

I agree. This is masturbatory stuff, and that's all. I don't know who would win and I gotta say I don't really care. But I am fascinated that so many others are so wrapped up in this.

I admit Tyson did look invincible from Berbick up to the Douglas fight. BUT....... we cannot compare fighters base on potential. we should do it on the actual fights, the way they handle their fights. And ali himself look invincible too before the 3 yr. layoff.

Spinks is a great win but after that he has nothing.
Tyson looked invincible from day 1 until his world fell apart when D'Amato died, then his other trusted advisors one by one, his special trainer gone. the Douglas debacle was nothing more than expected and deserved.

If I my self at the time had known that Tyson was training in bordellos, and with geisha girls and night clubs, (in other words a kid run wild) instead of being in the gym, I'd have put money on Douglas, who, after all had huge physical advantages, a good record, and good incentive.

Now Im not saying Tyson would definitly win, but he would certaintly not be an easy fight for Ali
Please stop comparing Mike Tyson to Frazier. Frazier was tougher than Tyson on so many levels. Ali landing the same punches on Tyson that he landed on Frazier would have made Iron Mike fold up like a lawn chair. Even Tyson knows he was no match for Ali. I think Mike knows better than you all.

Prime Tyson with Cus with him was completely different animal...It's hard to see Ali lasting against Tyson's movement speed n power

you are basing this on what? His amateur record? Cus died like 7 months into Tysons pro career, can you even name someone Tyson beat with Cus in his corner? Im a boxing genius and even I cant think of anyone in the top 100 at that time who Tyson beat with Cus in his corner.

This article is ****** anyways. Ali was put on his back by Henry Cooper and Chuck Wepner...the writer says Ali beat up Liston...uhhh when? When they were even on the score cards and Liston hurt his shoulder? Or when Liston took a blatant dive?

And it is really ****** cause Vitali Klitschko dispatches of either of these guys by ko in 7 rounds.

even on the scorecards? clearly you never watched the fight if you agree with the cards.

This is what "boxing expert" (mainly Floyds best nuthugger) Lyle Fitzimmons had to say in his article named:
"Erik Morales Main Event an Unnecessary accident"

"Such is the respect due to a veteran like Erik Morales.

                    But reality is reality.

And regardless of gaudy resume, there’s no way the future Hall of Famer known as “El Terrible” belongs anywhere near a championship-level prize ring this weekend."

This is what I call a great journalist and great prediction....
We can imagine how relevant is a fantasy fight prediction from this clown...

Atually ive watched that fight several times and it was right about even. There were 2 rounds clearly Listons, and id argue round 5 could be 10-8, but even if you score it 10-9, i had it even.
                      round 1: Ali
                      round 2: Liston
                      round 3: toss up
                      round 4 toss up
                      round 5: Liston
round 6: (liston with a hurt shoulder) Ali

So 3 and 4 are a toss up. Id give Ali 3 and Liston 4, and I dont see how anyone can say that either fighter was way out in the lead. Do you also think Ali beat Shavers or Norton in Norton 3?
