Now Im not saying Tyson would definitly win, but he would certaintly not be an easy fight for Ali

    LOL

that was the other version of Ali. The Liston version would humiliate Tyson.

Tyson has not shown that he can hang againts a fighter of equal stature or not scared of him.

all the big fights he has lost. all he has are KO Highlights againts B+ opponents. His best win was againts LightHeavyweight GREAT Michael Spinks.

They can be equal physically. but Ali dwarfs him in Mental toughness. there is no way he beats ALi if we base it on both fighters professional records.

A prime Tyson would destroy Ali 100 out of 100 matches. Ali fan myself but Ali never met anyone with the destructive power and speed Tyson had. I doubt we will se another Tyson the next 100-200 years.

Its absurd to say a fighter wins 100% of the time, I think we were all reminded of this in Kirkland's match with Ishida a couple weeks ago. While Tyson did not have the same level of competition as Ali that does not, by any means, make him a pushover in this fight. Tyson, in his prime, utilized a very effective defensive style that would be difficult for any fighter to overcome. His hand speed and power were phenomenal, if Frazier could land some powerful punches on Ali you can be certain Iron Mike would.
        well taken

        but ....

Tyson has not shown that he can rise up againts someone that is equal to him. He's mental toughness againts adversity is comparable to Zab Judah's.

Ali beats him all the time i have no doubt. Mental is everything.

All but praise to the great times Tyson gave us all. The waiting before a Tyson fight will never be matched. Just writing about it gives me the chills. The memories were great. All our Love to the best fighter who ever walked the earth.

You need to base it on the fighters them selves and not how their careers went. Tyson lost what made him great after the Spinks fight, and that was the will to be the very best he could be. He lost interest and went back to living like a thug when he lost that will. He started fighting the way he wanted to fight, he started training the way he wanted to train. He proved in the long run he wasn't shiiit without Cus, but early one he was great and there's no telling how good he could have been had he stuck to it. You down play his win over Spinks because he was a former LH, but look at how he beat him. Look how he put those punches together in that fight, especially the last shot. If you know boxing, you know a fighter has to have fast reflexes and fast thinking to land the last punch he did on Spinks. Butch Lewis put it best when he said no other fighter seen that Mike Tyson. Anyway, just ranting. I'm sure you'll see what you want to see.

Cmon mate. we cant base this on assumptions and be subjective.

I admit Tyson did look invincible from Berbick up to the Douglas fight. BUT....... we cannot compare fighters base on potential. we should do it on the actual fights, the way they handle their fights. And ali himself look invincible too before the 3 yr. layoff.

Spinks is a great win but after that he has nothing.

Funny how some think Ali would stand a chance against Tyson ?? Even Holmes killed Ali while Tyson knocked him out in 4 :-) Ali would have suffered the same fate as Holmes. Maybee even quicker !!
