To Those Who Were Putting Juan Ma Over Cotto Already...

Just for starters, I'm part Puerto Rican myself and for some time now I've noticed a lot people putting Juan Ma over Cotto so easily before he could make a run like Cotto was able to. Foolishly, I believe a lot of people looked at Cotto's losses and threw him on the back burner without considering Juan Ma had yet to face the same type of adversity and level of competition in comparison to Cotto. Well, we got a dose of reality Saturday night. I've always had this feeling he was headed towards this kind of loss, let alone he had been hurt in several of his previous fights. The sad thing is the Gamboa fight obviously isn't going to come to fruition (or at least won't have the same intrigue) and we have yet another great match up thrown down the toilet (but then again, it could've been a worse beating for Juan Ma).

Hopefully for Juan Ma, he can regroup, handle his personal affairs, and get back to the drawing board. You hate to have to lose like that.

one thing about juanma, he doesn't run when he gets hurt. it's not smart, but that's why ricans love him.

Those that even thought of something ****** like that just hated on Cotto because he didn't go around swinging on ****s and acting flamboyant in front of cameras like JuanMa. I mean have you ever heard of Cotto say he's the best PR fighter and that fans love him the most? Cotto. Do you ever hear Cotto talking about money and talking like he runs the game like Mayweather? If Cotto was at 122, he would have anally ravaged Caballero after Caba disrespected him. Fact is, JuanMa will never be able to carry Cotto's jock strap.

So JuanMa is skill less and doesn't know how to box effectively when he's hurt, and now he's been KOd by a journeyman and which should have been his second loss if Mtwaga had an ounce of more power. For the most part, every fighter that hurt Cotto ended up getting KOd. And any fighter he ''ran'' from was world class.

That just how some of them are. I didn't understand it ether. I guess because of Cotto personality or because they thought jaunma would be bigger then Cotto.

There is a real possibility that the only 2 losses of Miguel Cotto's entire career were tainted. JuanMa doesn't even belong in the same discussions as Cotto, simple as that.

I don't think Juanma is lacking skill... I'm saying juanma is too brave, considering that his chin is questionable and his defense is spotty.

cotto isn't as brave, considering his lack of stamina and the openings in his defense.

it really depends on what you like and don't like.

if juanma can fight a disciplined fight, he can beat salido

yeah, but there's 100% certainty that cotto gases around the 6th and gets on his bike when he can't hurt his opponent and that cotto will take knees to stop getting hit, while juanma is willing to go out on his shield.

                different strokes for different folks.

He took a knee in one fight. SMH

He was hurt from Pacquaio since the 4th, and never took a knee.

And his stamina issues are completely overblown. Its quite rare that any fighter fights at the same intensity in round 12, that they're fighting in round 6. He kept his stamina up pretty well in nearly every one of his fights. He's not Manny Pacquaio in that department, but nobody is.

JuanMa is going 'out on his shield' because he doesn't know what the word defense is and he doesn't know how to box effectively. Going out on his shield is probably the ******est term in boxing

cause pac doesn't pressure like margo does

it's a fair statement to say that cotto is a 6 round fighter.

c'mon son... you don't get to where juanma gets by not know what defense and boxing effectively is. the problem is that he's too brave for his own good

quitting on your knees is a lot more disgraceful than going out on your shield.

I suppose you were happy with the khan/mccloskey stoppage, since you are so squeamish.
