    Yea, most fighters couldn't.

Oritz is a damn good fighter regardless.

Just like Andre Berto, Manny and Floyd both will have little bother with him.

But, he is now the #3 at WW (I presume) young, fast, strong and hungry.

He's the obvious option, for either fighter.

I would prefer Pacqiauo to fight Ortiz than Marquez, Cotto rematch, Margarito rematch, Mosley. But considering he's with GBP it's an unlikely scenario.

My point is, Ortiz is in the running now.

Its evident how far ahead Floyd and Pac are from the rest of the crowd. They on another level.

If Cotto bashes Margarito,I want the Pacman Cotto rematch at 154 without catchweight stipulations.

Ortiz could compete with both. Manny would have a better chance to make the fight onesided because of his power. Floyd was getting tagged by Sharmbe Mitchell. Ortiz would handle himself. Not to say he'd win. Floyd hasn't fought anybody that explosive in a while albeit a southpaw.

Manny and Floyd are once in a lifetime type fighters, but if you dont earn a shot at #1 and #2 by battering #3 I dont know how you do it.

Pacquiao, yes. I think Ortiz could outbox Pacquiao, as Pacquiao would not know how to deal with the speed, movement, power, etc...

Mayweather on the other hand would shut out Ortiz and knowing Ortiz he would likely quit after so many lopsided rounds...

Ortiz isn't ready. The kid is 24. Comeon now.

I think he has great potential. He should defend this title several times first and maybe a rematch with Maidana down the line.

Manny was born thru tremendous fights with JMM, Bererra, and his trilogy with Morales finally formed him into the Hurricane he is.

Ortiz needs to continue to take fights and develop. Unfortunately, there are no icon status guys he can take on at 147 that aren't Manny or Floyd.

                  Possible matches are:

                  Rematch Lamont Petterson at 147.
Morales at 140 or 147 (I think that would be a very interesting fight)
                  Rematch Maidana at 147.
                  Joshua Clottey at 147
                  Alfonso Gomez at 147
Shane Mosely (after he loses to Pac) at 147
                  Rematch Berto at 147.
Jan Zaveck at 147 (unify belts)

My personal picks would be to take some additional 147 fights before any rematch fights. Gomes or Zaveck. Then rematch Petterson, and Berto. Then Rematch Maidana. Then we can talk about taking a run at Pac.

That's probably 2 years of fights, Pac would be 36, and maybe a young up and commer can catch him then.
