Strange, I found myself rooting for Ortiz tonight. While far from a fan I congratulate Ortiz on a great win and a very entertaining fight.

I thought Ortiz was gonna fold after getting knocked down but he showed balls. He got caught coming in but still fought coming forward the whole fight even though he was ahead. Major props to Ortiz.

Yeah I thought it was over right then and there, ortiz got tagged like crazy after that ugly right that dropped him, but the way he got himself together and dropped Berto was incredible.

Same here, he won me over with that performance. He reminded me of JMM getting back up from a vicious KD and dominating for the remainder of the fight.

He didn't completely redeem himself to me. He earned back most my respect, but it helped that Berto let Ortiz tee off and stay in a comfort zone.

Still, complete props for living up to his talent in that ring. He deserves all the recognition he will get for this victory. Ortiz had the talent, and brought it.

i gotta get in here. dude was NOT going to lose last night. i was impressed with his desire and his tight short punch power. it wouldn't hurt him to duck once or twice after throwing his combos (this would kill him vs floyd) but im impressed with his fortitude and strength at 147.

he proved me wrong. props to ortiz. i look forward to watching him fight again.

So then what else must he do to "COMPLETELY" redeem himself? He beat a way better fighter/boxer than Maidana in Berto. If Maidana gives Victor a rematch, will he then redeem himself "COMPLETELY?"
