His expression when they said "And NEW!!!" says it all...I'm happy for Ortiz, I take back all the crap I talked about him after the Maidana fight, he earned a fan in me.

Ortiz proved his critics wrong.

He lost two points because of the crooked ref not counting the first knockdown and for the BS point deduction, and the ref was on his back for noything all night while letting Berto hold as much as he wanted.

Then I was ridiculed by blackirish when Ortiz lost to Maidana. But lots of fighters lose when they're young and go on to have great careers, and I think the best is still yet to come for Ortiz.

Good **** Victor. You've not only done a world of good for yourself but for boxing in general. Now HBO doesn't have to feed berto with millions fighting guys like Freddy Hernandez. They can now focus on actually putting their money to good use.

He won his first world title off Andre Berto. People will discredit Berto now, but that was a big ****ing order Victor was served tonight. Andre had never seen anything like Victor before, Ortiz had him looking strait scared in some spots.

Fight of Ortiz's career? Probably. The kid never gave up. He silenced everyone out there (myself included) who had questions about him.

First Morales-Maidana, now this. How lucky have we been this month?
