Khan should beat this guy with ease. I just don't know if he'll get a stoppage or not. He keepts his hands low, he's not fast enough to counter Khan's speed and length. Khan will land combos from outside almost at will. If somehow Khan can't keep him outside then yeah he'll have a little trouble because McClosky is probably the better fighter inside.
Khan will destroy McClosky in Salita fashion

I'm taking Khan before 6. I have only seen two McCloskey fights and I don't think he's a pushover, but it's clear that he lacks the speed to avoid Khan's combinations or counter effectively unless Khan gets sloppy. How early it ends depends on how well McCloskey can take a punch in my opinion, which isn't clear from what I've seen or read from his record.
This is an ok fight to keep busy as McCloskey is undefeated and ranked inside the top ten by The Ring, but it certainly isn't a great fight.Comment

I can't see it going any other way. It's one of those "anything you can do, I can do better" type fights, just like the Malignaggi fight, only he won't be fighting an experienced, iron chinned, battle tested boxer. McCloskey has never been down this type of road, and he won't know what to do against Khan's lightning fast hands. If he makes it to the second round, it'll be because he survived after getting put down a few times, or Khan started off slow.
If Paul gives him a good fight, then props to him. I'll be happy to eat my words. But my prediction is a TKO within 3 rounds for Amir. First round is likely.
Maybe khan will try not for the KO,and just box and try out a few new things.
Khan has the speed and combinations most people wont be ready for.
Mcloskey is open to be hit, hasnt fought at any high level, and has been put down before.
Its understandable that sky backed out of this fight, especially with the undercard not good enough to compensate for the poor main event.
Khan has had much tougher sparring sessions ile bet.
Khan and his team have delivered poor PPVs,his one v salita was a joke, and i cant remeber the undercard being anything spectacular either, good job i didnt pay for it!.
But on the other hand, hasnt khan had himself on sky vs maidana and malignaggi on sky sports channels, not on ppv,so in a way that equals it out a little bit.
But he really should have taken the less money from sky for the greater coverage and gained a fanbase, losing money in the short term, but come next fight v bradley,he could do PPV,earn more and earn even more than usual with more fans turned onto him from wathcing him on sky sports 3.
I feel sorry for khan for being trapped by his awful family being awful business people and pretty poor family members for badly affecting his career.Comment
