Thing is, Urango tagged Alexander alot, managed to win at least 4 rounds, was actually in it and coming on strong, where as Berto dominated him from the getgo and hardly got hit, fight bored me though.

What I found impressive about Alexander in that fight is that despite getting hit with some vicious looking right hooks, he kept his composure and at least stopped the guy. Still in that fight alone I managed to spot all his weaknesses. Anyway, an argument can be made that Berto was more impressive, that's where I'm getting at.

Funny that was also the fight where I spotted all Alexanders weakness,most people had to see the Kottie fight before they jumped off his bandwagon..

He's what's called a career JWW. As in, that's the weight he's campaigned at.

A few fights where a guy weighed a couple pounds over 140 against 'some other guys' (who were also career JWW's or lighter) doesn't mean anything when it comes to assessing his credentials to fight for a welterweight title. It's completely irrelevant.

I don't know what your trying to get at, I said Urango was not a legit Welter, he is a JWW who moved up then back down. my point was which you keep missing is there was only 3 legit jww's he has fought Urango, Crayton and Now Ortiz this weekend. so when people say he only fights JWW I have proven that he doesn't.

Man this is BS. Nobody says anything about how Ortiz weighs more on fight night that Berto does. Oritz weighed 156 lbs on fight night in his last fight. Nobody says anything about how Carlos Quintana unofficially weighed 161lbs on fight night against Berto, and Berto knocked him out. Berto was barely a JMW on fight night.


I like Berto's attitude though, he can't let you haters get to his head. He tried to make the fights happen with Pacquiao and Cotto but it's not that easy.

I want to see Ortiz really fight the entire fight , like his career depends on it (it really does ). If quits or has a heartless outing He'll be doing good to get on FNF . Ortiz has the skills , it's his heart that is question . Berto can be beat we'll see if Ortiz is willing to take some serious shots to weather the storm and KO Berto ?

This is a great fight. Same level as Bradley-Alexander to me. This fight would have gotten more love from B-Scene if it had a non-American in it, but they hate both boxers in the ring in this matchup, so they try do their thing.
