I think the first couple rounds will decide this fight. I think they both should be aggressive since I think whoever starts out the best will win since neither are really come from behind fighters. Wouldn't be surprised if Berto come out guns a blazin' and got dropped by Ortiz and all that confidence went away.

Anyways I think it's gonna be a great fight. Much better then a lot of people think and I can't wait. WAR ORTIZ!!!

So not being able to secure fights with two of the biggest names in the sport justifies fighting opponents that have absolutely no relevancy within his own weight class, does it? Give me a f^cking break!

The Ortiz fight isn't just a sh^t fight because Berto is fighting yet another fighter that is moving up;it's a sh^t fight because Ortiz hasn't done a damn thing to earn a shot,is coming off of a shocking performance, and, most importantly, has yet to even establish himself as anything more than a prospect.

There is absolutely nothing about Berto to admire. All people want out of this joker is to fight a credible contender/title holder within his own weight class. The only legitimate welterweight that Andre Berto has fought in almost three years as a world title holder was against Luis Collazo - and that was over two years ago.

He's being paid over a million a fight, and,on average,is fighting at around twice a year - the very least he can do is fight a credible welterweight. But no,even that's too much for this weak, delicate, fragile little creampuff.

We all await the day this coward grows a pair and steps into the ring with a true fight.Because on that day, glass will be shattered.

We'll see who looks the bigger in the ring. We've seen Berto come into the ring at 160, we've seen him come in at 153. LOL, what if Stevie Forbes had fought the Berto who came in at 160 for Collazo? Is Forbes naturally bigger than Berto on one night and naturally smaller than him on another?

Technically, the bigger man on the night is the one who weighs more. But the discussion this thread got derailed into was about which guy is naturally bigger.

I have a feeling Berto maintains a more stable weight than Ortiz between fights. When he doesn't stay in in shape, he comes in heavy. He admitted he wasn't in his usual shape for Collazo and he came in @ 160.

And some guys put weight on easier than others, anyway. So who knows.

If one is bigger than the other, it should be noticeable in the ring.

FWIW, I could hardly stand Ortiz much more. Even without the hilariously pouty "mean" face he's been putting on all the way through these pressers.

I'll watch this fight, though, and hope these two jerkoffs put on some kind of show. Ortiz prevailing would be the lesser evil.

Good post, it's an interesting fight because so much is at stake and both acknowledge this, so much to lose here, so I think it's safe to say that we're gonna see a different Ortiz here, not the same guy who was passive against Peterson, ran from Nate or quit against Maidana, but a guy who understands that this is it. Berto also knows the consequences of losing to such a guy.

Alot of people are shitting on this, me, I can't wait

and YES, we'll see who the bigger guy is in the ring, I believe it's gonna be Ortiz. Berto looked very sluggish against Collazo and I'm certain he won't make that mistake again.

                    explain legitimate Welter weight? explain legitimate Jww, lets see Hernandez last five fights before Berto 148 1/2, 148, 148 1/2, 146 1/2, 152. Quintana - 152 1/2, 153 1/2, 151, 146, 14/ 3/4 Urango Jww, weighed in officially 1 lb more than Berto, but he is a legit JWW. Collazo - 148, 150, 147, 159, 147Forbes - 150, 142,140,149,149,149 Robriguez - 146 1/2, 147, 147, 146, 150 Trabant - 148 1/2, 147 3/4, 146 1/4, 146 3/4, 146 1/2 Estrada - 152 1/2, 154 1/4, 151 1/2, 147, 148 Rivera - 146 1/2, 147, 147, 146 1/2, 146 Clay - 157, 154, 148, 156 1/2, 149 1/2 Bravo - 141, 149, 148, 148 1/4, 142 1/2, fought at Welter earlier in his career. Figueroa - 146, 144 3/4, 146, 142, 142 3/4, already had fought at Welter and above Jww. Crayton 15th pro fight legit JWW Venezuela - 148, 148, 134, 139, 140 fought Welter twice before bertos 14th fight and has since. Sparkman - 150 1/2 153 1/2, 153 1/2, 150, 151 1/2. Bertos opponents since his 13th fight. debuted at middle 6 fights after light middle. This is how bored I am at work but I'm sick of hearing all he does is fight legit JWW. Urango. legit. Ortiz moving up weight issues. Crayton legit JWW, so is that 3 legit jww's so I think I.have proven my point. now my thumbs hurt from all that number typing. And Berto feels he is small not because of his weight but his short stocky stature, hence the reason he debuted at middle and came down to Welter where he naturally feels comfortable
