So many people are talking about who Martinez is going to fight but no one is talking about who don't want to fight him. I'm sure he would fight Floyd/Cotto/Pac/Margarito..... and whoever else can bring him the exposure and money he needs. Dude had 4 fights against 4 legit opponents. How can anyone on here say that he's ducking guys like Kirkland and Pirog? Just ridiculous. Ishida loojed great against Kirkland, while Pirog struggled against a nobody. At this point I'm sure whoever Sergio Martinez fights that people are going to say something. It's funny how they are saying something about his past opponents? Like I said.... "boxingscene" should convert to "Hatingscene" because it is sure alot of bitter, crap talkers and no thinkers trying to give valid opinions but don't even know the ins/out, out/ins of the sport.

If Martinez wastes time fighting nobodies trying to land a fight with two welterweights, we shouldn't support that as boxing fans.

"While he continues to fight with opponents who have no chance of winning, and I continue to fight against the best - one day I will [become the best pound for pound fighter]. Because I know that I have to face reality that it's almost impossible [to fight him] given the height and weight. It makes more sense to go after fights with Miguel Cotto or Floyd Mayweather Jr. Against either of them, I'd love to show that I'm at an amazing point in my career," said Martinez.
LOL yup... ok sure

pirog looked great against jacobs(an actual middleweight) in a title fight and martinez fans said "who is this guy. why should we fight him?"
fast forward to when ishida looks great against kirkland(a junior middleweight) trying to get the rust off after coming out of prison and the martinez fans say "martinez-ishida is a great fight! ishida just beat kirkland!"
maybe it's just a coincidence that they want martinez to fight an unranked 35 year old junior middleweight with 5 losses instead of an undefeated top 10 middleweight in his prime...
