you people cant be serious,a man asking his own to support their own like many others do and there's a problem, example, remember how many Hatton fans showed up in the U.S. for his fight. Peterson didnt cry or complain he just asked HHHIIISSS people to support the sport, not racist but if he's not talking to you, he's not talking to you.

Peterson is so right....For some reason black people do not identify with black fighters. But the most successful boxers in the sport are Black....I've realized you need a personality to get the support of blacks if you are a black fighter. Hence the reason Mayweather acts the way he does. He has said it time and time again he doesn't like acting the way he does but he needs to do so to make money.

It's not the color of the skin that Blacks don't give much appreciation to Black Fighter's, it's the performance of Black fighter's that are in question. Black Fighter's now don't give exciting and meaningful fights that boxing fans will be excited about. Most of the time they have so much Hype coming from their promoter's but they can't back it up and that's one reason Black fighter's doesn't get much support from their fellow blacks.

This is what I have noticed and I may not be 100% correct but here are some things I do know. You get points for each time you post under a different thread. If you post 10 times in one thread, you will not accumulate more points after the first post. Once you get to know people and you see me say something like "I like Gamboa over Juanma" and you like Juanma, you can private message them and ask then if I would like to bet. The bets are on the honor system so if you make a bet and lose, then you donate the points to the other poster. If you win, he should do the same to you. If you screw someone over, be prepared to end up in their signature as a welcher (to put it nicely) and soon, no one will bet with you again...

I have yet to bet with anyone since I am just trying to accumulate some points so if I lose, I have some left to bet again. Sometimes if you take an underdog, you can get odds and stuff but to get points, you need to post.

If I am wrong on this and anyone knows different, please let me know my errors because I could be wrong about some things. Anyway, I hope this helps...

If I am a black boxing aficionado supporting a black boxer like Floyd Mayweather Jr., I might even hide my own identity...it is just a big embarrassment for person to show support to a fraud.

It's funny to read from white people what they think black fans think about black fighters.

                  It's your own fault really.

Black people should've listened to Malcolm X and not MLK. You know how you're feeling gutted for not taking that career high pay day for fighting Amir. That's how old black people feel for not siding with Malcolm X.
I read your post before realising it was your's. but that's you to a "T". As I recall, Malcolm X was a racist and a most violent Anti-Semite.

I can understand his antipathy to white people, but I could never understand what he had against the most persected of peoples, the ***s, who, when they gained the opportunity, helped and succoured the black people more than any other race, often at great risk.

I could name 6 ***s who were Founder Members of the NAACP, around 100 years ago or so, when ***s themselves were under severe restrictions.

But it's true that Blacks don't flock to support Black fighters, maybe because boxing is no longer the premier sport in the US that it was. It used to be baseball and boxing, now boxing is pretty low on the list. And, as far as I can tell, if the majority of fans are "white", they still are supporting their favourite black fighters, regardless of colour.

Of course we also have to include in the mix the Latino fighters and fans.

What the heck is the difference anyway??

Gotta step ya game up,black America.
If you regard Hopkins as a "class act" then there's no point in reading your post further.
You have a pretty low "class" level.
