Sounds more likely than a world champion clearly above anyone else at 160 ducking a prospect who didn't look great last time out.

I don't mind Pirog vs. Manfredo that much. People know Manfredo and would be a good way for Pirog to get known some more. Also, you are probably right, HBO probably shot down Manfredo as an opponent for Martinez (considered the best middleweight in the world) and wouldn't televise it. If HBO did shoot down the fight, good for them (for once)...

Manfredo is definitely a live fighter. Not to the greatest but he's decent. For Pirog I know it's hard to look good against somebody who doesn't even wanna win in there but survive so let's see if he can impress by taking on a fighter that actually wants to win.

Hopefully we see another brutal KO.

Manfredo is not an easy fight by any means.

are we still pretending dzinziruk a lower 10 junior middleweight was a challenge just because he was undefeated?

You know about a year and a half ago that would have been THEE big fight at 154, funny how after the fact its looked at as some kind of cherry pick by some.

the fight wasn't even at 154. martinez said he can still make 154 easily so why was a fight against a guy who never fought at 160 at 160? was berto vs juan urango a great win? urango and dzinziruk are not even dominant in their own weight classes. they have no business fighting above their weights.
