Many children really look up to high-profile top athletes and try to emulate them, so I think it's important that the high-profile boxers set a good example.

It's not because the answer is obvious. Floyd- Squanders money like crazy, owes taxes. Arrested three times for assaulting women. Accused of assaulting and threatening the life of a security guard at his private neighborhood. Being loud and talking shit.

Boxing in it's simplest form is simply 2 people punching each other for cash, neither of them are role models, really, would you really want your son looking up to / wanting to become people who generally become punch drunk after they retire ?. I sure as hell wouldn't.

They might be an icon *, but they are not role models and no one should see them as that, people who do good are role models e.g Doctors and the like.
