I'm surprised to read this, although I suppose in another way, not surprised. there has hardly been a famous public figure in the world, who has not been the subject of similiar inuendo, rumour and gossip .

iknow for certain that at least ONE ststement in the opinion, is false. The "mixup between Top Rank and Golden Boy was NOT that they had the first signing. The reason that that Top Rank won, was because in the existing contract between Manny P and Top Rank, Arum had had a clause included that "forbids any discussion, or contact for discussion with any other Promoting Company for the purpose of signing a contract" whilst still under contract with Tip Rank.

The fact is, that Oscar, not very cleverly tried to pul off a Don King stunt with and exhausted travel-worn little guy whom he thought was a simpleton. As Manny P. said at the time in the following publicity, I knew it wasn't legal, but he wouldn't let me go to bed until I signed, so I signed to get rid of him.(paraphrasing)

As for the rest, the writer himself, at the very bottom, when he tells us to tune in next week for opinion about Holyfield, is also saying, if we couldn't already see, that the article is opinion, not hard evidence. That she might have been would not surprise me however, because the Phillipines seems (as I am deluged with on the internet) to be a major centre for this revolting trade.

Also, I fail to see how one could contract liver ailments from playing billiards. I am not a "fan" of any sort, but a boxing enthusiast, and like several other fighters more than Manny P. so my above comments are based on my critically objective looking at the "evidence" rather than partisanship, of which I have none.
