Peterson did the right thing F Khan now give Bradley 50/50 and go prove ya self..Beating Maidana was good but he was the only puncher he has really faced, and how limited was he??Look at Maidana last fight with Morales and I believe Khan's win get's put into prospective..Shame on anyone who agrees that Peterson should have became Khan's slave just to fight him..Sometimes some of the posters here show out right bias and it's disgusting..
I don't condone Khan treating his opponents like dirt (financially), but if Peterson was really the hungry young (well actually not even that young anymore) fighter we want him to be, he would take the Khan fight for even less the first time around to prove a point. He'd accept Khan's BS offer for a rematch to show that he is truly "the best in the division" as he stated in another article published here. Then, after taking the short end of the stick to earn his stripes, he'd be in the position to dictate his future foes.

But, alas, Peterson unfortunately doesn't seem to be that kind of fighter.

I agree with Paulf here, as I often do, great poster by the way, fighters these days just want to earn the highest amount of money the easiest possible way. There is no longer taking fights for peanuts so that they dethrone those who have abused them at the negotiation table.

Can the "lowball" talk end now?

peterson was gonna take the short end of the stick in this fight, but then team khan wanted him to take the short end of the stick in the rematch too. that was a deal breaker.

In no way was Peterson taking the short end of the stick in the first fight. If anything, he was to be paid more than enough. And I don't even like Khan.

You say that as if Petersen deserves more than the short end of the stick.

I said it before I agree Peterson should take the money 300K is not a bad deal..I did not mind the rematch clause either,it was a understandable demand..But why should Peterson have too take the same money??That imo was/is the deal breaker, and I don't think Peterson was wrong for turning it down..

Team Khan are just greedy people period, If one person says you are a drug dealer then maybe we might not take you seriously but when 3 or 4 people are saying you are a drug dealer then you are really a drug dealer.

Not one not two but several teams now have called Team Khan into question in the way they deal with people, I understand they have to look out for Khan but then there is a limit that you should go.
