You acting like hes old and beaten or something.

Knowing what you capable of is a big motivator.

Its like if stop playing basketball for awhile and comeback.

you might suck for awhile when you get back in the gym.

But you don't give up because you know what your capable of.

Those fights from two years ago mean a lot right now.

Ummm no. Rubio might be better than Vera but he was not as deadly now as Julio was when he fought James. Combined it's not even that close, especially with Veras recent success.

It was a long time ago. He can maybe convince himself but fact is this is not the same guy that went away. It's more the just defense, he never had that to begin with. That lay off seemed to effect his chin and his whole aura. I hope I'm wrong. But its not looking to positive. Any one that will stand up to him from now on I think is going to beat him. Even with training changes and sharpening up.

Ya he was no kinda beast then. Ya he had a punchers chance but he wasn't the favorite or hot prospect anymore. He was a step up and there to lose.

Vera isnt a solid fighter by any means. Hes an upset-artist. You never can count him out, I give him that.

Julio beat the unbeaten and legendary K9 and Isha Smith. YES

Rubio was on a deadly KO winning streak fightin at MW and SMW.
He was dominated by the young gun just to get win later forcing the Lemieux to back up.

Kirkland forced Ishida to move up cuz his fat ass cant make weight for JrMW and Ishida is a JrMW.

he should start to respect his foe. he even stated he has no clue who Morales and Maidana (ME) are, even tho he was fightin on the undercard.

Rubio who is bigger, with longer reach, more XP'ed who lasted 9 round with Pavlik, who got stopped the last time 7 years ago in 56 fight is better than Vera and Julio.

I don't think Lemieux needs to make major changes to the way he goes about things. He needs to calm down in the ring and stop loading up every punch. Kirkland really needs to change his tactics. He's so wide open all the time. He needs a new trainer and needs to throw whatever gameplan he has out the window.

I'd say it would be easier for Lemieux to come back, and it's more likely he would have a successful career but you can never count out Kirkland.
Kirkland may need a new trainer, maybe back to his old one, (who gave him a lot of support when he got into trouble), but Lemieux definitely needs a legit pro trainer, because Russ Anber is NOT a pro trainer, he's always been an amateur trainer, never fought pro, was only a limited amateur flyweight, BUT, excels as a 30 min. talk show host. Don't think he has any other fighters, maybe one or two local kids nobody's ever heard of, at most.

Just by luck he's managed to produce a good offensive fighter, who, in the right hands should go places.
