His chin was always suspect..Hes been dropped in the first round before and was staggard in his fight before Ishida.

And I wish ppl would stop bringing up Joel Julio's power..Carlos Quintana outboxed Joel for the decision and wasnt that affected by his power.

youre a racist bigot... "jap"... nice, dude. african american gets mopped by a pillow-fisted japanese boxer (31 wins, 8 by KO) and he cant even get props from you? LOL. pathetic homie.

plain and simple, kirkland came in overlooking ishida... gets schooled. im a kirkland fan, but knew his limitations would get him in trouble... but ishida was NOT the guy to do it. LOL. before people start jumping on the ishida bandwagon, they need to put things in perspective.

its not a question of heart, kirkland wouldve got up if cortez didnt hold him down... kirkland wouldve got up 20 times if needed. those punches were quick nicely placed punches... you shrug it off and continue fighting. those werent bricks ishida was throwing. and YES, kirklands got a suspect chin... he has to LEARN how to protect it.

he is also a midget with short arms....

Flint, you are OBVIOUSLY new to boxing. Boxing 101 - it is a FACT, not an opinion that some fighters have a better chin than others. This has been known since the origin of boxing. You are forgivin since you are new to the sport. A fighter can have heart and a weak chin and not overcome his achillis' heel.

Chin is every human's weakspot, and every boxer is human - Agree, but
Heart has nothing to do with it.

Heart is when you are clearly outgunned by a superior opponent but still continue wailing away with your best shots - it has nothing to do with your ability to not get KTFO.

BTW, your usage of the term 'Jap' seems seriously out-dated. I think this term belongs to one of those WWII movies where it was cool for Americans to be racist against the Japanese enemy at that time. This Japanese dude has a name - just like Kirkland does, and his name is Ishida, not 'Jap'. Thought I should show your blatant display of disrespect, just in case you didn't know.

Ishida HAS on the other hand had a couple KO's in his last few fights, UNLIKE Joel Julio. Ishida beat the other Alvarez. Any time you lose a split decision in Mexico against a Mexican fighter, you won that fight. And one more thing, Ishida is faster than Julio and could expose Kirklands weak chin faster.
