That's 100% true. Props to Ishida. I'm ashamed to admit that I've never even heard of the dude before this fight was announced.

Considering how he ran through Joel Julio's fists, this was a shocker. However it happened, his chin definitely got weaker

well, he was on jelly legs against a bum in his last fight.

I dont think anyone expected Ishida to knock him out however. let alone in the first damn round, lol. but I remember one guy saying that Ishida was going to win.

I saw the fight and Rigoberto Alvarez clearly won the fight, Ishida stay all the fight showboating and not throwing anything at Rigoberto.

And Canelo is so much better than his older brother that beat Ishida at Jr. Middleweight the same weight Canelo is a Champ.

Canelo will mop the floor with Ishida.
Wow, what fight did you see bro? because the fight I saw between Ishida and Rigoberto was clearly won by Ishida (Just see both faces at the end of the fight and tell me who won). Ishida won that fight but the he was robbed by the localist judges in Mexico.
I also think that Ishida beats canelo easily, canelo has no chin just like kirkland the difference is that canelo has not fought anybody with a pulse (at least Kirkland KOed Joel Julio which is a decent fighter). Remember that canelo was almost KOd by a lightweight and that means canelo has no chin, period.

so it's not power that stopped kirkland, it was his chin, and the speed of the punches that got him.

like i've said before to the people who have been saying kirkland has a chin, he took punches from julio, and vera, etc. those were from guys that he was able to see the punches coming. they weren't fast or had fast hands.

i also said that, if he fought someone who knew how to finish and or jump on a guy when their opponent is stunned, kirkland would get taken out, and that is exactly what happened.......

fast hands guy had him hurt, and the combo work got him out of there.

I originally thought there was a 3 knockdown rule, appearently for that fight there was no 3 knockdown rule in effect, joe cortez should be investigated and or reprimanded for his actions and pisspoor judgement.

with that being said, kirkland would've only been slapped around more and embarrassed more, he was getting hit too cleanly and responding to those punches very badly......

kirkland needs to regroup, invest some time in defense, and get back in top condition again.

i think his conditioning is what kept his recovery skills up at a high level, i think now, since not being with wolfe, he's not in that same shape, and it exposes more of his physical neurological limitations, and we saw that last night.

he looked like a drunk after getting wobbled, i love his heart, and his will, but kirkland is going to have to invent something that keeps his disadvantages at a minimum.

he can come back after this, he needs to figure out a way to make his chin less easy to hit....... if i remember right, it was a counter left hook that started all kirkland troubles in the ring last night????

I saw the fight and Ishida won that easy. He got a split decision loss in Mexico of all places. If that fight was outside Mexico, Ishida would have won a UD, that goes without saying.
