come on, are you serous? one loss and he needs to quit fighting and find another job, thats foolish. if you have a bad day at work or make a mistake do you quit your job and look for a new career? give the guy a break hes still fresh out of prison and getting back into it.

According to todays boxing fans, a 3 knockdown TKO is equivilant to being KNOCKED THE **** OUT. Kirkland was clearly about to get up, unlike (for example) Paul Williams, of which the allegations that he has a glass jaw actually have some base to them.

That said however, the guys chin did not hold up, and the TKO was not a bad call. Funny thing, his chin was a lot better before he went to jail, not it's almost glass. At least it is when he's fighting the solid punchers that he has been fighting.

Overhyped? Not really... Post-prison James Kirkland was not actually being hyped, despite what Max Kellerman said. And don't forget, Amir Khan was able to comeback from an even more embarrassing 1st round KO (Kirkland doesn't have a chance of coming back that much becuz American's r unforgiving boxing fans, unlike UK fans, but he can still comeback)

Everyone loses look at Amir Khan, Daniel Jacobs, Alfredo Angulo, Victor Ortiz. I do think he needs a new trainer.

The funny thing here is the fact that Kirkland was KOed by random pillow fister bum.

Big deal if a fighter loses a fight, now a days if you not undefeated it means that you been exposed or simply a hype job
problem is that with his style, he shouldn't be having these probs. its not like he just got caught

Kirkland's not done yet, I think it had a bit to do with both a lack of proper conditioning and the fact he's had 3 fights in about 3 months.

That being said Ishida looked great and i look forward to see him again.

Kirkland will probably always have a bad chin to go along with his bad defense. That is a recipe for disaster.
